Every year NASBA hosts an array of meetings and social events that may suggest a specific style of dress. When an event or meeting requires specific attire, you may ask yourself what appropriate clothing will be acceptable. Every year NASBA hosts an array of meetings and social events that may suggest a specific style of dress. When an event or meeting requires specific attire, you may ask yourself what appropriate clothing will be acceptable. The NASBA Style Guide will answer some of the questions you have by making suggestions

Business Dress is the second most common suggested attire for NASBA meetings. As representatives of state boards, societies and/or firms, this allows our attendees to project a professional image at all times during the business meetings. Below is a list of suggestions when selecting your wardrobe for Business Dress.

Business Casual is the most common suggested attire for NASBA meetings. As representatives of state boards, societies and/or firms, this allows our attendees to dress comfortably during the business meetings while maintaining a professional image. Below is a list of suggestions for appropriate Business Casual attire.

Some meetings are held at resorts in exotic cities across the united States. During the meetings,NASBA likes for the attendees to remain comfortable and casual while remaining professional. At these meetings, dress attire may be resort Business. Below is a list of suggestions for appropriate resort Business attire.

When NASBA meetings are held at exotic resorts, social functions may suggest our attendees dress in Resort Dressy Casual attire. This allows our guests to remain casual and resort appropriate while networking and discussing various topics discussed during the business meetings. Below is a list of suggestions that is appropriate when selecting a Resort Dressy Casual attire.

Occasionally, some NASBA functions require a slightly dressier casual style. Whether determined by the theme of the event or the dress code of the event location, this style generally discourages shorts and casual footwear. Not all evening functions require formal attire. Some events give our guests the option to dress in an Evening Casual style. These functions allow our members to continue networking and generate discussions from the day’s business meeting while allowing a more casual atmosphere. Many NASBA meetings include an evening function where attendees are encouraged to wear Evening Dress attire. These functions allow our members to continue networking and generate discussions from the day’s business meeting yet are somewhat dressier in nature. From time to time, NASBA likes to make the last social event of the meeting something memorable for its attendees and guests. For these events, Black Tie and Cocktail dress is requested for our attendees. Below is a list of suggestions that is appropriate for a Black Tie/Cocktail evening.
