Notes
• 1) Plate tectonics implies chains of volcanoes, which means that in a chain there is a progression of age
• 2) Crater counting, provides an independent way of measuring the surface, which includes the age of volcanoes
• 3) Without any direct evidence for plate tectonics we need to resort to crater counting
