A Private Club For Elks Members.
PROVO
LODGE
No.849
Dear Members:
The Kids Christmas
party was well at-
tended. There were
24 kids and fun was had by all. The
letters to Santa were
the highlight of the evening. I would
like to thank all those who helped with the
event.
The Elk of the month for January is Scott
Waters. Scott is one of those Elks that most of our members do not see all the volunteer-
ing he does. If there is any cooking to be
done, he is always there to help.
Set your calendar for February 13, 2016 for
the annual Valentines/Sweetheart Ball.
There will be a band and finger food. The
band will play music for all ages and will start playing at 8:00 pm. Start time for the
event will be at 6:00 pm, so see you all at
the Ball.
Check the 849 for menu’s for Friday night
Dinners.
Spring meeting will be March 04-06, 2016
and will be in St George this year.
We finally have our normal winter back,
please be safe when out on the roads. I hope
everybody has a great new year and that it
brings blessings to all of you.
Here are some pictures of the winners of the
Hoop Shoot. Sorry I do not have their names.

Dear Ladies, Here we are in February. Can you believe it? January was
good & sad. We had two good Lodge members pass away, Wayne Ford (Pat) our lodge Santa, and a Trustee. and Richard Lyons, Special Depu-ty Grand Exalted Ruler, Utah (Geri). They will be greatly missed by all of us. May God bless the Families of these great Elks. Our January meeting had a great attendance (it seems as though we improve each month). Shirley & Teri, our chair Ladies decorated our room, cooked a very good healthy dinner. Teri Van Pat-ten spoke to us about the aligning of the stars and how it effects our lives. We all en-
joyed the knowledge Teri has on the subject. Now about RAD. Officer Henderson never got back to me about the times we could have the instructors come to Lodge to help in self-defense classes. I will continue to pur-sue this activity. Our February 10th meeting will be our LOE PAST PREIDENTS PARTY. Every-one is invited. Come to meet our past presidents and see what Shani Green & Nora Carter has planned for us to do. ‘A GARDEN PARTY’ March 19, 2016 Our MOTHER DAUGHTER TEA, DON’T FORGET. DRESS IN PARTY DRESS-ES AND DON’T FORGET YOUR SMILES. Remember to put the TEA
PARTY on your calendar.(March 19, 2016) Let’s remember our Friends & Neighbors who need our help or a little cheering up. “People are about as happy as they make up their minds to be”----Abe Lincoln Remember the ones you love. HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! LOVE YOU MUCH Peggy Gleason-Reay (Reminder, We will be having our 1st nominations for our new Officers for 2016-2017. Contact myself or Tina if you are interested in being an Of-ficer. Or we will call you.)
