PHOTOGRAPHIC INVESTIGATION

OF NICOSIA

Photography was the first device used as a tool to draw out ideas from Nicosia. Through a pin hole camera constructed by the author, long exposure times and deliberately blurred photographs (right top two) allowed the articulation of the gap between what the photograph is believed

to present (true representation of the real world) and what it is actually presenting; a collection of light over a period of time.

A voluntary exhibition space was set up after the completion of our 4th year projects and during the Commonwealth Games, to interact and seek local feedback on our master plans and projects for Dalmarnock, Glasgow. These projects looked to continue the re-development that had taken place for the Commonwealth Games in

Dalmarnock.
