Statement of Motivation for this Host (max 200 words) I am very much interested in Business and Tax law, and their influence on the future of the European Union. To safeguard the Common Market, tax law is a core issue in the EU. Even though the UK will divert to a different path, detailed knowledge of EU law and the Common Market is vital. After reading articles and publications about tax issues, I started researching which University is best suited for my year abroad. My additional goal of perfecting my German language skills have culminated in my desire to study at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. Modules such as International, Austrian and European Tax Law, as well as European Business Law seem to be specially tailored towards my interests. Here I will get a chance to further examine some of the current trends in Member State's tax law. Being the External Coordinator of the Law Reform Society and having written articles for its publication in 2019, it would be great to see how these topics are dealt with in other parts of the EU. I am also confident that I will be able to represent and promote the University of Aberdeen as an excellent educational institution.

Statement of Motivation for this Host (max 200 words) Given its reputation and the wide range of modules offered, I have chosen Katholieke Universiteit Leuven as my second choice. Offering courses such as International and European Taxation, Leuven seems the second most suitable University for my year abroad. Having read a range of articles and publications about tax issues, it would be a great delve into these topics in more detail. Countless other modules such as European Contract Law and Private International Law would allow me to further expand my existing knowledge from the modules I have already taken in Aberdeen. Being the External Coordinator of the Law Reform Society and having written articles for its publication in 2019, it would be great to see how these topics are dealt with in other parts of the EU. I am also confident that I will be able to represent and promote the University of Aberdeen as an excellent educational institution.

Statement of Motivation for this Host (max 200 words) My profound interest in European Law has led me to choose Maastricht University as my third choice. Many of the courses offered there, such as Comparative Contract Law and Comparative Property Law deal with issues that I am keen to study in more detail. The university provides the opportunity to study International and European Law along with the legal systems of the different Member States. Maastricht offers courses such as European Company and Private Law. Given that by the end of Second Year, I will have studied Company Law and Private Law, it would be great to further expand my knowledge on these subjects. Being the External Coordinator of the Law Reform Society and having written articles for its publication in 2019, it would be great to see how these topics are dealt with in other parts of the EU. I am also confident that I will be able to represent and promote the University of Aberdeen as an excellent educational institution.
