Overview

Sydenham Institute of Management Studies, Research & Entrepreneurship Education (SIMSREE) concluded the final placement season for the 2017-19 batch maintaining an impressive track record of 100% placements. Consistently ranked amongst the top business schools across the nation, SIMSREE has become a much sought after destination for an array of prestigious recruiters. The Executive Placement Season for the batch of 2017-19 witnessed industry leaders from various sectors visiting the campus and recruiting for noteworthy profiles. Aditya Birla Group, Axis Bank, Barclays Investment Bank, Citi Group, Credit Agricole, Credit Suisse, Dabur, Deloitte USI, Duff & Phelps, Ernst & Young, GEP, Godrej Infotech, HDFC Ltd, ICICI Group, Infosys, JP Morgan Chase & Co, Marsh India Insurance Brokers, Nielsen, Saint Gobain, Tata Capital Financial Services, Wipro were a few of the esteemed companies that exhibited complete faith in SIMSREE's talent.

Batch Profile

SIMSREE has always prided itself on the quality of students that get into the institute year on year. The batch of 2017-2019 was no different. The batch had a mix of backgrounds such as management, commerce and engineering. More than half of the student pool had experience from zero to over three years in sectors ranging from IT to Pharma while freshers gained exposure through Live Projects and Internships. Finance was in vogue again with 63% of the students opting for Finance followed by Marketing, with around 28% of the batch opting for it. HR and Operations specialisations are being preferred by more and more students.

The placement statistics show that SIMSREE has, yet again, proved to be a campus of choice for recruiters. It is a testimony to the fact that SIMSREE stands for excellence in business education and the kind of faith recruiters have in its student quality. A host of new recruiters like Aditya Birla Sunlife Insurance, Ernst & Young, Evalueserve, JLT Independent Insurance Brokers, PNB Gilts, RBL Bank, Tata Asset Management and many others, offered lucrative profiles to the talent pool at SIMSREE. Candidates majoring in Finance were offered roles such as Analyst-Global Finance, Analyst-Investment Research, Business Valuation, Internal Audit, Financial Planning & Analysis, Investment Banking Analyst, Risk & Financial Advisory etc. The marketing majors witnessed a plethora of profiles such as Brand Manager, Digital Sales, Digital Marketing and Relationship Manager while the HR and Operations students were picked up as Business Analyst, PI-Analytics, HR Manager, Consultant, Operations Manager etc. Many students were offered Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) and Pre-Placement Interviews (PPIs) based on their exemplary performance and knowledge as displayed during their Summer Internships. In addition to this, Live Projects and Winter internships in different domains were offered by companies like Glenmark, Tata Motors, Dentsu Aegis, Bernhard Schulte, UPS Supply chain solutions, Edelweiss Group etc.
