Boat Highlights3 cabin/1head layout
This is a very performance minded catamaran truely built for speed 20 knots. Much faster than any Catana.
Custom designed by Shionning Catamarans and built for current owner in Australia.
Built with carbon fiber rig and hull reinforcements make this yacht strong and light. Excellent pointing ability with
dagger boards. Hull is built out of Kevlar.
Other Schionning Cosmos cats are asking well over $600K. Milocura is the best value performance sailing
catamaran on the market.
The boat was built based on Shionning's Cosmos 13.2 design but with several important materials and other
modifications approved by the designer.
Extensive use of carbon fiber reinforcements, in place of fiberglass as well as Kevlar. The hulls were widened
by 10 cm and their bottoms covered with two EXTRA layers of Kevlar. Extra room in the salon is also a nice
feature of this unique boat .
The almost 360 degree view from the saloon provides excellent shelter during rough weather sailing as well as
comfort during rain and at night.
Most floors are linned with Victoria Ash wood from Australia and with mohogany trims.
The cockpit roof is self standing reinforced with carbon fiber, not requiring extra supports that get on the way.
All images were taken before the entire exterior of the boat was recoated with Awlgrip paint in 2010.
Layout & AccommodationsThere are 3 staterooms with double beds.
The extended salon easily accomodates two more people confortably.
There is one large separate shower/toilet area on the port side of the boat, this makes for simple easy to
maintain system.
TMC electric toilet
Hot and cold fresh water system
GalleyThe galley up on this boat is the most unique of the Shionning designs as normally they have the galley down.
The fridge arrangement up in the salon is seldom seen and very practical.
Doing away with the chart table area provided extra space for socializing around the galley area.
