THE CONFERENCE

The European Cycle Logistics Federation (ECLF) is a professional body that supports cycle logisticsbusinesses, promotes the potential of cycle logistics and lobbies policymakers. The ECLF organises theregular European Cycle Logistics Conference - the key European event where operators from the logisticssector meet with policy makers, suppliers, researchers and a wide range of other bodies to discuss cyclelogistics. Previous conferences were held in Cambridge (2012), Nijmegen (2014) and San Sebastian(2015).

New for 2017, the Conference will consider how best to support, showcase and adopt the rightstrategies for unleashing the potential of the cargo bike to transform domestic life and improve city living(see page 7 for the draft Conference schedule and themes).

Our host: the City of Vienna

The City of Vienna is the host partner for the European CycleLogistics Conference in March 2017. Vice Mayor MariaVassilakou will open the Conference, which will be conducted inEnglish. We are expecting about 300 delegates from acrossEurope. The full programme will be published at www.eclf.bike.

The Conference is a key element in Vienna's ambitious sustainabletransport plans for 2017 that will place a strong emphasis on thecargo bike replacing the van or the car for many day-to-daybusiness or domestic journeys

The venue is an excellent high quality location and the event willbe marketed by the City not only in Vienna and Austria, butacross Europe, in co-operation with the ECLF. This will guarantee high visibility.
