InspectionWorld® San Diego • January 24-27, 2016 Exhibitor Prospectus 2 InspectionWorld San Diego Exhibitor Prospectus 3

We are riding a supreme high from our last InspectionWorld® conference in Philadelphia where we saw an unprecedented number of inspectors attend our annual conference and expo in a cold weather town in January. The East Coast was ecstatic to have us visit and they turned out in force. Now we’re celebrating our 40th Anniversary in San Diego and CREIA is celebrating their 40th Anniversary with us...making 2016’s InspectionWorld Conference and Expo a must attend event. On behalf of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), we are excited to be visiting the West Coast. Where there’s a forecast for sun, warmth and celebration!

We’re returning to a favorite locale: San Diego. Specifically the Town & Country Resort and Convention Center January 24-27, 2016. We will be featuring a fantastic selection of courses spread over three days from beginner’s courses to business tracks to courses introduc-ing the latest trends, products and services utilized in the home inspection field today.

It’s no wonder why InspectionWorld® is the must-attend home inspection conference in the industry. We have seen a growth in exhibitor attendance unparalleled at any other conference in the home inspection industry. We hope to see you at this year’s event: a celebration of ASHI: 40 Years of Trust.®

You will find in this prospectus a number of ways in which you can participate in our 40th Anniversary. Ways to reach the home inspector attendee and the decision-makers in their businesses. Besides booth space, you can sponsor products, courses, meals, the conference app and more. Don’t just get a booth; be in the face of the attendees. Embar-rass your competition by getting your name and contact information in front of the movers and shakers of the home inspection industry.

InspectionWorld® San Diego will take over the Town & Country Resort and Convention Center at the end of January 2016. Events will be held in the ballrooms, classrooms, meet-ing rooms and in the courtyards. There’s a forecast for celebration in January and we want to make sure that you’re involved.

We look forward to your participation at InspectionWorld ® San Diego 2016.Sincerely,

Randy Sipe Howard Pegelow Frank LeshASHI President-Elect ASHI Vice-President ASHI Executive DirectorConference Co-Chair Conference Co-Chair

3 CONNECT WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS AND HOME INSPECTION PROFESSIONALS AT THEIR ANNUAL CONFERENCE!

InspectionWorld San Diego 2016 is the premier event for the nation’s home inspection professionals. The conference is expected to attract both experienced, dedicated profes-sionals who make decisions about products and services every day, as well as a large group of “new inspectors.” Our research shows that as many as one third of all attendees are new each year – to our conference, and in many cases, also to the profession. And as you know, those who are new to the profession are in need of the array of basic products and services. We are also plan-ning to offer pre-conference courses again this year. The courses last year attracted additional attendees to the full InspectionWorld conference. Pre-conference students will have access to the Expo Hall on the opening day.

Here are the 2016 Exhibit Hall Activities designed to maximize hall traffic:

We’ve designed the Expo Hall to maximize activity and access. We plan to “drive” all attendees to the Expo Hall and keep them there as long as possible.

• The Expo Hall (Town & Country Resort and Convention Center) and the education classrooms are all in ONE main area.

• Opening day Expo hours - as conference attendees arrive, starting at 3:00 p.m.

• Opening Night Reception with full food and beverage service from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

• We are keeping the Expo opening time at 3:00 p.m. and also keeping the extended hours through 9:00 p.m., based on requests of exhibitors and the suc-cess we had last year with these hours. This schedule should maximize the number of visitors in the Expo Hall on opening day. It also allows vendors a relaxed setup schedule from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

• Students attending the Pre-Conference classes will all have access to the Expo Hall on opening day. Their sessions conclude at 5:00 p.m.

• At the Town & Country, we are able to provide breakfast and lunch for purchase in the Expo Hall and we will be offering coffee in the Expo Hall on Tuesday morning. Afternoon refreshment breaks will be in the Expo Hall as well.

• A regular schedule of Prize Drawings will be held in the ASHI booth during the breakfast, lunch and break periods – this is an effort to get and keep attendees in the Expo Hall (details on page 11)

• Vendors may also conduct their own booth prize draw-ings, and are free to schedule these during the breakfast, lunch and break periods. Let attendees know if they need to be present to win; otherwise, ASHI will have a bulletin board near the entrance where you can post the names of winners (details on page 11) or we can call the worker needed to set this up.

• We will once again offer “Exhibits Only” tickets at reason-able rates to non-registrants on all three days of the Expo (the cost simply covers the cost of the Opening Night Reception on opening day and is negligible on days two and three). Vendors are encouraged to invite as many ticketed non-registrants as they choose – to boost overall Expo hall traffic.

• The Expo Hall will be open continuously from 3:00 p.m. thru 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, and on the second day, 7 a.m.- 8 p.m. 7:00 a.m. thru teardown at 4:00 p.m. on the third day. As expected, booth traffic will be lighter during the 6 daily hours of education sessions, but the hall WILL be open all day – available for private conferences during the education hours.

• (Optional) advertising in the InspectionWorld® Coupon Brochure (details on page 9)

• (Optional) vendor sponsorships to get your company name in front of attendees (details on page 8)

• ASHI plans to increase the activity on social networks during the conference, and this can certainly be used by knowledgeable exhibitors to keep the communications and excitement flowing.

• All vendors receive attendee mailing and email lists in the weeks prior to the start of the conference, plus a final attendee list. Use this list to invite attendees to your booth or to follow up after the show.

As an InspectionWorld San Diego Exhibitor, you will receive two Exhibitor Personnel Badges per booth space purchased. These Badges not only allow you unlimited access into the exhibit hall, but also let you engage in social and networking opportunities in the Expo Hall and outside. The following activities are included with your Exhibitor Registration:

Opening Night Exhibit Hall ReceptionSunday, January 24, 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

We’ll kick off the conference in “40 Years of Trust-style” right on the Expo show floor! Enjoy great food and a nice cold beverage from one of the many stations around the room. What a great way to cap off the first day of the Expo and be able to greet the hundreds of attendees you will continue to be in contact with over the next two days.

The Expo Hall will remain open – until 9:00 p.m. – after the official end of the reception.

Annual Meeting Lunch, Award Ceremony & Exhibitor Recognition Sunday, January 24, 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Come have lunch with ASHI. Attendees and exhibitors will gather for ASHI’s annual meeting, new board installation and award ceremony. Get some face time with the attendees in a more relaxed and informal setting.

Don’t forget to sponsor the lunch and get your name in front of all our attendees. This will take place before the conference starts. Come early and join us for our Annual Meeting. Trust us, it will be great!

Breakfast, Lunch and Coffee/Refreshment Breaks in the Expo HallMonday, January 25, 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m., 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.Tuesday, January 26, 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., 3:00 – 4:00 p.m.

All promotions will indicate that the Expo Hall is “open” all day, from 7:00 a.m. thru 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday and 7:00 a.m. thru 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The busiest times for vendors will, of course, be the three break times, but you will generally find that there is continuing steady booth traffic even during the scheduled education session times. You can use the “quiet” times to schedule private conferences with clients.

Prize DrawingsVendors are welcome to hold prize drawings at their booths. As you know, announcing these events with a “winner must be present to claim your prize” provision will get groups of people to your booth at specified times. One easy way to distribute prize coupons is through the InspectionWorld Coupon Opportunity (see p.9 for more details). There will also be a bulletin board in the Expohall foyer to post the names of winners and direct them to your booth. Exhibitors will not be able to announce winners over the P.A. system. However, ASHI will announce one state-ment per exhibit booth during the exhibit hours (i.e. announcement can be for a winner or other event at your booth).

In an effort to continue to draw attendees into the Expo Hall throughout the conference, ASHI will be holding regularly scheduled $200 prize drawings at the ASHI booth. Prize drawings will be held during each of the food breaks, with larger $500 prizes awarded at 3:30 p.m. on the opening day and at 3:30 p.m. on the closing day – to encourage attendees to come early and stay late. Drawings will be announced over the PA system and in a soft voice – per the request of vendors.

President’s GalaPlease note that the President’s Gala, Tuesday evening from 6:30 – 10:00 p.m. is not included in the Exhibitor Package. All exhibitors are welcome to attend, and tickets will be available at the Registration Desk at an additional charge.

If you are sponsoring the Gala, the tickets (2) are included in the sponsor cost.

Gala sponsorships are available - please contact Dave Kogan

How Diverse is San Diego? There’s so much to see and do in San Diego that you’ll have to plan a whole other trip out there just to cram it all in. However, right behind our hotel is the Light Rail that will take you south all the way to the border. We’re not con-doning going to Mexico, but you might like to stop along the way to check out a few places. Let’s follow along the dotted red line and help you out with your visit…Start at the Fashion Valley Transit Center and Head West Your first interesting stop is actually the second stop from your start-ing point: Old Town Transit Center. Disembark and follow the crowds to Historic Old Town San Diego, the birthplace of California, where the first Europeans settled. What was California like in 1850? History is waiting for you with over 17 points of interest and the finest in professional theatre, museums, artisans, galleries and shops all within easy walking distance with free live entertainment, tours and more. And the authentic Mexican food is hard to beat. Now let’s hop back on the MTS and head to Little Italy.

Benvenuto!Welcome to Little Italy, just two stops (three if you count Little Italy) away from Old Town. San Diego’s Little Italy is different from every other Little Italy in the United States. A stable ethnic business and residential community, since the 1920’s, Little Italy today represents downtown San Di-ego’s oldest continuous neighborhood business district. At one time, more than 6,000 Italian families lived in Little Italy and toiled to build San Diego in the center of the world’s tuna industry. Now Little Italy is known for its

phenomenal Italian restaurants. Need a recommenda-tion? Here’s our recommendation: just walk into any Italian restaurant in this neighborhood and order. The food here is fantastic!

Santa Fe Depot and Seaport VillageOnce back on the train you can disembark one stop down at Santa Fe Depot or the next stop at Seaport Village. Both stops are a quick walk to each other and have equally fun sites that need to be visited. If you walk immediately west of the train you get to the Boardwalk (starting point is in Seaport Village). There you’ll discover many places to explore, such as 50+ diverse shops, 17 unique eateries and outdoor entertainment. You can catch a ferry to Coronado Island or visit the U.S.S. Midway or catch a trolley tour for all of San Diego, go whale watching or many other tours that originate in the heart of San Diego.

Walking East of Seaport VillageYou’ll discover the Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego. This is considered the young, hip area with interesting restaurants, the Chuck Jones Gallery, and Petco Park (unfortunately, neight Baseball or Football will be happening then, but there are other places to visit in this area of town. The Gaslamp District has an interesting history that tells of failures, successes, gambling halls and a boom-town. While visiting the Gaslamp Quarter, you can learn about the district’s past and see how it has transformed into the exciting area that it currently is now offering culture and art, authentic restaurants and worldly cuisines.

Hotel OverviewThe Town & Country Resort and Convention Center has been dedicated to the comfort and satisfaction of its guests for over five decades. Operating since 1953, the Town & Country Resort and Convention Center is the essence of San Diego style. From their expert staff, capable of answer-ing one’s every request, to the beauty of lively California right outside your door, your stay with them is sure to be unforgettable. Town & Country’s full service resort features three sparkling swimming pools with sunning decks, an over-sized whirlpool, a 27-hole golf course adjacent to the resort, acres or gardens, nooks and crannies for private getaways and conversations, a full service concierge desk, a business center, two gift shops, a guest laundry, trolley stop on property for easy travel to hot San Diego sites. With over 1,000 guest room accommodations and 200,000 sq. ft. of flexible conference and meeting rooms in San Diego, including the new state-of-the-art 41,000 sq. ft. Grand Hall (our expo hall) and Plaza Pavilion; InspectionWorld 2016 San Diego will surely rock the house!

Soak Up The SunAs mentioned on the previous page, there are so many fantastic restaurants to hit up in and around San Diego. However, if you’re staying on property, there are four places that you can relax and grab a bite to eat. Trellises Garden Grille is recognized for its California fresh cuisine and impeccable service and offers a beautifully elegant setting for lunch and dinner. The Terrace Café serves breakfast and lunch throughout the day in a bright and cheery atmosphere. For breakfast, choose the buffet or a la carte. Perfect for salads, sandwiches and sundaes. Are you look-ing for something on-the-go? Then hit up The Market. Also known as the Sunshine Deli, featuring Stabucks coffee, coffee beverages, juice, parfaits, sodas, chips, cookies and other snacks to keep you going all day long. Lastly, there’s Charlie’s. Enjoy food, fun and spirits where you can watch local sports and events on seven TV monitors and a giant 72” HDTV. Unwind at the end of the day at their bar with over 20 beers to choose from, including local microbrews. Appetizers, burgers, salads and hand tossed pizza will satisfy any craving.

Getting ThereSan Diego is the second largest city in California with many universities and good swimming beaches. It sits just north of the Mexican border, across from Tijuana. Though a large city, San Diego has a somewhat slower paced atmosphere and, when visiting, some may find it provides a soothing break from the typical hustle-and-bustle of a city of its size. So how do you get there?

San Diego International Airport, better known as Lindbergh Field, is 2½ - 3 miles northwest of downtown San Diego. The Town & Country is located in “hotel Circle” and is an easy 10-15 drive from the airport. You can also fly into McClellan-Palomar Airport which is just 35 miles north of downtown San Diego. One can also take the train (www.amtrak.com) into the Santa Fe Depot and then hop on the San Diego MTS (light rail). You just head north on the train and get off at the 6th stop (Fashion Valley Transit Center). The hotel is across the street.

Plan on driving? San Diego is easily accessible by car using any one of the three major interstate roadways, the I-5, I-8 and I-15 freeways. Additionally, there are numerous other freeways that crisscross the county, making access to most places in San Diego relatively easy. But if you need to know how far you are from San Diego, check the chart below:
