1. Be agreeable

Philippians 4:2 (NIV) 2 I plead with Euodia and I plead with Syntyche to

agree with each other in the Lord.

2. Be joy filled

Philippians 4:4 (NIV) 4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

3. Be alert to your thought life Philippians 4:8 (NIV)

8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely,

whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.

Philippians 4:8 (MSG) 8 Summing it all up, friends, I'd say you'll do best by

filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best,

not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse.

4. Be content - whatever the circumstances

Philippians 4:11-12 (NIV) 11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content

in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.
