Exodus 37-39 tells all the things that were builtbuilt for the Tabernacle and Courtyard of the Tabernacle.

We are notnot going to study this, but we do want to look at the last two verseslast two verses of chapter 39 and

partsparts of chapter 40.

Page 3: Exodus 37a

Exodus 39 42 According to all that the Lord commanded Moses, so the children of Israel made all the work. 43 And Moses did look upon all the work, and, behold, they had done it as the Lord had commanded, even so had they done it: and Moses blessed them.

3

These people whom the Lordthe Lord had called stiff-necked, because of their stubborn disobedience,

Have finally done something rightHave finally done something right.

Page 4: Exodus 37a

They did allall the work, and did it exactlyexactly as the LordLord had commanded.

4

They will sin againsin again in the future, and they will suffer the consequencessuffer the consequences,

But right nowright now, in this place, at this time,

The Lord is pleasedpleased with them.

Page 5: Exodus 37a

To please the Lord requires no deepno deep thinkingthinking on our part.

Just dodo what He tellsHe tells us to do.

5

Romans 8 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Matthew 4 1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

Page 6: Exodus 37a

Did Jesus know whywhy the Holy Spirit was leading Him into the wilderness? Probably notProbably not.

6

Would He have chosenchosen to go and be tempted by the devil? Probably notProbably not.

But Jesus had to be tempted as we areas we are, so that He could understand understand our weaknesses,

and be our great High PriestHigh Priest.

Page 7: Exodus 37a

We won't always understand whywhy God teaches us to dodo certain things, or to avoidavoid certain things.

7

We won't always seesee the good that will come from doing what God says doGod says do,

And we won't always see the harmsee the harm that will come from doing what God forbids.

Page 8: Exodus 37a

There is pleasurepleasure in sin for a season; that's how the devil baitsbaits the trap.

8

But the end of sin is destruction.John 10 10 The thief (devil) cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I (Jesus) am come that they might have life, and that they might have itmore abundantly. 11 I am the Good Shepherd: the Good Shepherd giveth His Life for the sheep.

Page 9: Exodus 37a

A life of sin is a life of bondage.

9

Sin enslaves people; we call it addiction.

Page 10: Exodus 37a

A life lived with Godlived with God is a life blessed with lovelove, joyjoy, peacepeace, and patiencepatience.

We live a gentlegentle and good lifegood life when we believe God enoughenough to be faithful and true.

10

When we meekly submitsubmit ourselves to God's Word and to the PowerPower of God's Holy Spirit,

We will be able to live a life of godly moderationgodly moderation, freefree from the destructive power of sin.

Page 11: Exodus 37a

We don't have to understand whyunderstand why;We don't have to knowknow the full path.

11

Just do what we know to do

Trusting God to show us more day by day.

Page 12: Exodus 37a

The first step of a life with God is to be born againborn again:

Born of the Spirit of God intointo the Family of God.

12

Romans 10 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord JesusLord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Page 13: Exodus 37a

John 3 16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.

13

Then simply livelive a life obedient to Scripture.

Page 14: Exodus 37a

Romans 6 16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

14

We choosechoose our master; we do not have to be enslaved to sin.

We can be delivereddelivered from the power of sin through Jesus Christ,

When we accept Himaccept Him as Savior and Lord.

Page 15: Exodus 37a

Believe with all your heart in the God of the BibleGod of the Bible, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

15

Believe that God gavegave His Son, Jesus Christ to dieto die for your sins and raise Him up.

Admit that youyou are a sinner in need of a Savior.

AskAsk God to save you from sin and from hell, in the Name of JesusName of Jesus.

ConfessConfess Jesus as LordLord of your life.

Page 16: Exodus 37a

Just as the Israelites did allall the work, and did it exactlyexactly as the LordLord had commanded.

And God blessed themblessed them with His Presence.

16

When we givegive our lives unto God, and livelive according to His Word,

He will be forever in usin us and with uswith us, in good times and badgood times and bad,

To bless usbless us and carecare for us.
