RAW PERLITEAs it does not have the feature of chemical decomposition, thermal

conductivity becomes low with Perlite and Turkey has richest sources of Perlite in the world.

Perlite, is found in volcanic terrains and underground and aboveground features

are dispersed in a glassy rocks.

HOW WE INNOVATED ? Thermal Insulating Perlite Plaster: Sıvaper®

EXPANDED PERLITEAfter a series of processes, when treated, with high temperature at rotary drum furnaces, raw perlite is blown up and expanded just like corn kernels. Volume expands almost 30 to 40 times, so it becomes lighter from the water and turns into a porous material.

EXPANDED PERLITEPerlite has the attribute of tightness against sound and heat as well and melt down at 1300 degree. Along with the ability to be porous and lightweight, it enters into the formulas of “coating” agents used to cover external facades of buildings. Today, all over the world, at least one-quarter of perlite production in excess of 2 million tonnes is reflected in construction field.

Perlite in Construction

Perlite is a versatile and sustainable mineral that is mined and processed with a negligible impact on the environment. And the green community recognizes perlite-enhanced products—like lightweight insulating concrete roof decks—as a high-performance solutions drawn from a natural material of nearly unlimited supply throughout the world.

CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY:

BIG USERS OF PERLITE

Research suggests that more than 50 percent of expanded perlite worldwide is used by the construction industry. Perlite plays an important role in a wide variety of construction-related uses including: as an aggregate in lightweight insulating concrete and plaster; as a loose fill insulation material for concrete masonry blocks, cavity walls, in residential homes; and in a variety of specialty applications including fireproofing sprays, chimney fills, interstitial floors, acoustical sprays, etc. See our Perlite House PDF to see some of the ways perlite is used in construction.
