MACC PROGRAM OUTLINEPlanning on becoming a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)?

CURRENT GOODMAN BACC APPLICANTSGoodman's BAcc-MAcc pathway is accredited by CPA Ontario. Goodman's BAcc/MAcc CPA pathway will allow you to complete all the required courses and modules for the CPA designation. Upon graduation from the MAcc program, you will proceed directly to the Common Final Exam (CFE). The MAcc program covers all four CPA elective modules, plus Capstones 1 and 2.

NON-GOODMAN APPLICANTSApplicants who did not complete Goodman's BAcc program should consult with the Graduate Programs Office to determine eligibility for the MAcc CPA pathway. Applicants must have completed a four-year bachelor's degree in accounting, in Canada, that fulfills the equivalent CPA Ontario 51 credit hour prerequisites*. To determine your eligibility, please reach out to our admissions committee through the Goodman Graduate Portal at portal.bus.brocku.ca

*Please note that the 51 credit hour prerequisites exceed the PEP entry requirements.

GRADUATE WITH EXPERIENCEThe Master of Accountancy (MAcc) program encourages the development of critical thinking, analysis and communication skills. The program prepares you to become a strategic and well-rounded professional in accounting and provides you with advanced coursework covering the CPA elective modules of Assurance, Tax, Finance and Performance Management. In addition, our program covers the content for Capstone 1 and 2 which provides you with the necessary integration and case analysis skills to prepare you for successful completion of the Common Final Exam (CFE).

ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIPSDean of Graduate Studies Entrance Scholarships are worth $1,000 and are awarded to full-time domestic and international students admitted to the MAcc program with an admission average of 82% or higher at the time of admission.

The Goodman Scholarship Program is exclusive to the Goodman School of Business. Exceptional incoming students can earn a prestigious scholarship worth up to $3,000. Goodman Scholarships are awarded to students entering the Goodman School of Business who have demonstrated at least two of the following:

• Leadership in university life and community life, or evidence of entrepreneurial talent

• Exceptional high academic grades

• Financial need

MINIMUM ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS• Four-year Goodman bachelor's degree in accounting (BAcc)

or a Canadian bachelor's degree in accounting that fulfills the equivalent prerequisites

• B/75 per cent academic average in last two years of undergraduate study

• B/75 per cent academic average in key accounting courses with no grade below 60 per cent

• Minimum English Language Proficiency score (if applicable): " TOEFL: IBT 105 " Academic IELTS: 7.5
