Legislation and Regulations• Law No 2019/012 of 19th July 2019 to Lay Down the General
Framework for Radiological and Nuclear Safety, Nuclear Security, Civil
Liability and Safeguards Enforcement supersedes Law No 95/08 of
30th January 1995 on Radiation Protection
• Decree of application No 2002/250 of 31st October 2002 establishing
the organization and functioning of NRPA.• Law N° 2010/012 of 21 December 2010, Related to Information and Computer
Security.• Law N° 2014/028 of 23rd December 2014 laying down Suppressions of
Terrorists Acts.• Law N° 2016/015 to lay down General Weapons and Ammunition Regulations
giving Authorization and Enforcement provisions for Radioactive Sources.• NRPA became operational in April 2007.
• There is provision on Article 4 of Decree of 2002 for National Register
of Sources, Authorization, Inspection, Enforcement, Emergency
Preparedness and Occupational Exposure.
• Three Ministerial Regulations on Public Health were enacted by the
Minister of Public Health in June 2013 to reinforce Decree of 2002
especially on responsibilities of safety and security of sources.

System (RAIS)

being done nationwide and registered with the help of this software
