Overview 2019 Kickstart Accelerator bridges the gap between startups, corporates, cities, foundations and universities to accelerate deep tech innovation across different verticals, bringing together key actors in these fields. Kickstart Accelerator is an initiative of Impact Hub Zürich.

Each year, Kickstart brings around 60 entrepreneurs to Switzerland to collaborate with key players for proof-of-concepts, pilot projects and other innovation partnerships. In 2019, Kickstart runs four verticals (6-10 startups per vertical) focusing on deep technologies (science and engineering driven technologies such as AI, Big Data, Blockchain and others) in Zurich:● Cybersecurity● EdTech & Learning,● FinTech & Crypto,● Food & Retail Tech,● Health Tech● Smart Cities & Infrastructure.

Guidelines

● Experts engage with startups in 1-1 sessions● Experts are free to choose a location for the sessions (the Kickstart Accelerator space,

Kraftwerk in Zurich is free to use)● Booking of sessions happens on individual basis between startups and experts via email● It is up to every expert to decide on how much he/she wants to invest. As a reference

figure he/she should be prepared to spend an average of 8 hours throughout the entire duration of the program

● Experts are primarily motivated to work with the entrepreneurs, not to find clients in their startups for the expert’s own business
