Everything Presented in this Power Point is based on the EDF Procedures checklist.

Your location is the determining factor of your start date.

You will find the names and start dates of all locations at the top of the checklist.

Print the most recent Expiration Date Form (EDF)

The latest form should be e-mailed by Debra every Monday

It is Mandatory to fill out the top left section of EACH page.

All information is required You must also circle

“office” or “store”

From the product name listed on the EDF

Locate the product within your store

Locate the expiration date of each item and fill in the respective column

The date needs to be annotated in mm/dd/yy format *If the exp. Date only has

month and year input 00 as the day

There are four columns as listed below: 1-2 mos 2-3 mos 4-6 mos +6 mos

Write the quantity on hand (O/H) for EVERY expiration listed under 6 months.

If the expiration date is greater than 6 months, input the full date from the product into the last column of the EDF.

The number on-hand is not required for this column ONLY.

The first two blank columns are for all products expiring within 1-2 mos. All dates listed in the first

two columns need to be highlighted

All dates listed in the first two columns need to be on a Discount Table

Everything placed on a Discount table needs to be marked appropriately on the form.

Write a DT in the top right corner of the product name cell as shown in the graphic to the right.

Everything transferred needs to be marked appropriately on the form.

Write a T in the top right corner of the product name cell as shown in the graphic to the right.

Ensure the item is also physically on the Discount Table if it is marked that way on the form.

In this case there should be a total of three items on the discount table based on this page alone.

Binder Requirements Binder Requirements

The most up to date EDF is to be kept in the front of a binder labled Expiration Forms and Procedures

The binder is to be located with your policy manual and product guide at all times.

The most current three months of EDF’s along with completed checklists are required in the binder at all times

Contact your inventory manager with any questions you may have
