Welcome and Announcements

REFLECTION AND PREPARATION

But now thus says the LORD, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.”- Isaiah 43:1-3a *Call to Worship | Psalm 19:1, 7-8, 10, 14

Ordination And Installation of Officers Elder - Chris Griffith Deacon - Daniel Vos

Questions to the Officers:

1. Do you believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, as originally given, to be the inerrant Word of God, the only infallible rule of faith and practice?2. Do you sincerely receive and adopt the Confession of Faith and the Catechisms of this Church, as containing the system of doctrine taught in the Holy Scriptures; and do you further promise that if at any time you find yourself out of accord with any of the fundamentals of this system of doctrine, you will, on your own initiative, make known to your Session the change which has taken place in your views since the assumption of this ordination vow?3. Do you approve of the form of government and discipline of the Presbyterian Church in America, in conformity with the general principles of biblical polity?4. Do you accept the office of ruling elder (or deacon, as the case may be) in this church, and promise faithfully to perform all the duties thereof, and to endeavor by the grace of God to adorn the profession of the Gospel in your life, and to set a worthy example before the Church of which God has made you an officer?5. Do you promise subjection to your brethren in the Lord?6. Do you promise to strive for the purity, peace, unity and edification of the Church?

Question to the Church Members:

Do you, the members of this church, acknowledge and receive these brothers as a ruling elder and deacon, and do you promise to yield them all that honor, encouragement and obedience in the Lord to which their office, according to the Word of God and the Constitution of this Church, entitles them?

sermon | Dealing with Doubt | Matthew 14:22-33 22 Immediately he made the disciples get into the boat and go before him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowds. 23 And after he had dismissed the crowds, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone, 24 but the boat by this time was a long way from the land, beaten by the waves, for the windwas against them. 25 And in the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea. 26 But when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, “It is a ghost!” and they cried out in fear. 27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.”

28 And Peter answered him, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.” 29 He said, “Come.” So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, “Lord, save me.” 31 Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” 32 And when they got in to the boat, the wind ceased. 33 And those in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”

(Pastor) This is the Word of the Lord.(All) ThanksbetoGod.

The Lord’s Supper | See comments below We come forward by row to receive the elements. Wine is found in red cups (outer ring), grape juice in clear cups (inside rings). Gluten free wafers are available in both serving lines. If you are unable to come forward, please notify the server walking around with the elements. You are welcome to participate in the Lord’s Supper if you are a baptized Christian and a follower of Jesus Christ. If this does not describe you, we encourage you to spend this time in prayer to consider your relationship to Jesus Christ. We also ask that children who have not yet publicly professed their faith in Christ, refrain from partaking until doing so. The Lord’s Supper is a time for our faith to be strengthened and our hope renewed.
