Take the 2 pieces of colored CS and ribbon. Lay one piece of CS down so that it is square infront of you. Now lay down the ribbon, stretching from side to side, centered on the CS. Take the

second piece of CS and turn it 45 degrees so that when it is laid down on the 1st piece of CS and

ribbon it will form an 8 sided star. Glue these together with your favorite adhesive. (This maytake a few minutes. You want to make sure they are centered. Using the CTMH desk pad really

helped me)

Now that they are one piece we'll refer to this as your base.

Take the ruler and bone folder and score the tip of each star where it meets the base, so you will

have a triangle that can be folded up.

Gently fold up each tip and run the bone folder over it, on the back side so it will stay folded in

or at least sticks up..

Cut 16 tags, hearts, or flowers of your choice from the B & T or RS CS paper. Make sure the

bottom is no larger then 2 1/4" so it's not bigger than the base of the triangle you're gluing it to. It

should not be taller than 3 1/8"

Take each tag (or heart, or flower) and glue them, back to back, with the bottom part encasing the

triangle.

Now take the White Daisy or Col White CS and cut it so that it will fit inside the card. (I used the

card, with all of the tips folded up, as a guide). Very lightly with a pencil draw the octagon, then

trim each side about a quarter of an inch or so. Write your poem, stamp a saying, or put whatever you want on this. Now glue it to the inside of the card. Make sure you have the top and bottom

right so that your ribbon will be tied in the center facing the recipient.

Starting at the top and going clock-wise, fold each tag in, overlapping previous tags. When all

are folded in, tie the bow.

Embellish if desired.

This card took me approximately 1 hour to complete (after I decided on the color of papers and

type of stamps to use:) I tried to make it simple for the VC class but it can be dressed up quickly

with embossing, embellishments, etc.
