ELEPHANT PUMP CAFE

BRIEF.An independant cafe in wales wanted a fresh, new look to help raise awareness for charity work that they are doing.

I decided to focus on making the elephant the logo and to make the colour scheme bright and bold. the owner liked the idea of a ‘circus’ font - so i used a font called ‘hobo std’ which also works in theme of the elephant.

PACKAGING.After designing the logo, i played around with how it would eventually look on a range of different items in the cafe. The bright green helps make it stand out on coffee cups and paper bags. the simplicity of the logo without the text also allows the logo to stand out making it athsthetically pleasing.

END RESULT:In response to the brief, i decided to keep the colour scheme simple by using white and blue. I liked the idea of having a pattern that fades into the design of the bus and also into the shilouettes of children playing a range of activities. I used a font called ‘teen’, which works with the entire theme of the bus and its target audience.

END RESULT:I decided to take inspiration from the recycling logo and put my own twist on it so its clear that the aim is to recycle and look after the world. I used a bright green colour as M&S already have used this colour, so it helps the logo become assosiated with M&S. For the campaign, I decided to include the Plan A logo into M&S products. On packaging that can be recycled or was, the logo stands out instantly will be an indicator to what can be recycled to what can not be. I also made a leaflet giving tips on what everybody can do to improve the environment and what Plan A is doing itself.

CAPLOR ENERGY

BRIEF.To create a new design concept for Caplor that will eventually replace their exsisting logo.

END RESULT:My final design is a tweak on the exsisting logo used by Caplor. This simple tweak see’s the logo change font and colour into Helvetica Neue Light in a subtle grey. The logo still consists of the colours and design of the previous one, but I made the icon more rounded and brighter to help it stand out even more.

CAMPAIGN:I created some business cards to be used by the Caplor team, but also to see what the new logo would look like when presented in a profesional way. The business cards are simple and elegant which helps allow the logo to stand out in a sophisticated way. Finally I placed the new Caplor logo on a van to give an indication of what it would look like. The colourful icon in contrast with the subtle grey font works together to bring attention to the van.
