EDITORIAL
FSM is publishing today its second CSR report in the
framework of Eurhonet.
Communication and transparency are among our core company
values.
With the CSR report, we want to inform our stakeholders about
our practices, engagements and results. For us, the report is an
important moment to take stock of the economic, social and environmental impacts of our
activity and to identify new challenges for the coming years.
Rather than an objective in my management strategy, CSR is a different way of thinking
business and I will never get tired of disseminating this philosophy everyday to the people
I work with and I work for.
The establishment of a CSR policy in the enterprise impacts a companys strategy, policies and processes. Such a policy can only become concrete when it is adopted
by the companys employees. This means they must understand the policys implications,
be able to measure their contributions and be prepared to change their professional
practices. Since last year, FSM has a full time employee devoted to the implementation
of the companys social responsibility policy. Thus, FSM employees regularly participate
in CSR working groups and contribute to defining objectives and identifying solutions.
For the coming years, we want to extend some of these internal good practices to the
outside and raise awareness about todays environmental challenges among our tenants
helping them reducing their energy and water consumption.
One of our majors concerns is to avoid green washing, thus, FSM will open its doors to
an independent organism in order to be evaluated on its CSR practices. Moreover, in order
to fix the values of our men and women to the processes of the enterprise, FSM will
launch in 2009 the project of ISO 14001 certification on environment for its activities
of construction, refurbishment and maintenance.

Promoting social balancein our territory
In 2008, we started an innovative partnership with FSM.
Today, people leaving our facility have a privileged
access to FSM flats.
This possibility helps these people to reintegrate
themselves in the society and to quickly gain their
autonomy back.
Through this partnership, FSM helps us to carry out
our social mission.

INTERVIEWJean-Luc Pilard,Mayor of the city ofCourtry
Courtry considers FSM not only an attentive partner, but
also a company capable of providing innovative answers.
I like the way FSM finds suitable solutions to meet the
environmental and social challenges of the town.
In 2002, FSM has realised 21 wooden dwellings which
received the totem prize for the collective wooden
construction in 2008.

In 2008, FSM has set up a unit to fight alcoholism.
This problem concerns the well being of the employees.FSM, in partnership with the CHSCT and a psychologist, has started up a remarkable initiative to help the employeefinding solutions, joining associations and fighting itsaddiction.
As a new administrator at FSM, I appreciate the transparencyand the spirit of cooperation that characterise the relationsbetween FSM and its board of directors. For what concerns the corporate social responsibilityof FSM, I like looking at facts. For example the hugeinvestment of the enterprise on the education and trainingof its employees and the contribution of FSM to the socialbalance of its territory through its realisations.
