Back ground of EYC budget work in Education

EYC is a national education coalition established in 1999 as a national platform for civil society organizations, professional groupings and education/research institutions.

It lobbies for the implementation of EFA goals. It utilizes a rights-based approach(RBA) as

enshrined in the new constitution. In 2002,EYC piloted budget tracking work in Mwingi

& Narok districts resulting in regional teams hence the New Education Networks(CEN).
