Ideas to meet M-N8:Using this resource: Children to count how many objects there are in each set. Sets may be identified by colour, size or object.
Children to identify when both sets have the same number of objects. Discuss what the ‘same’ means.
In other areas of the classroom: Children to sort objects into sets and count how many there are in each set; match sets of objects
to corresponding numerals; children to count how many children are in their group/set and identify the corresponding number.
