Disneyland is a well-known Theme Park in Paris. A famous Disney story is about a princess called Cinderella. Read the story together using the following link. Read as many words as you can by blending and reading your Tricky words. http://www.communication4all.co.uk/http/Traditionaltales.htm Scroll down to the traditional tales and select Cinderella. There are lots of other stories if you want to read those another time. Re-tell the story with a grown up. What happens in the beginning? The middle and the end? Remember to start with ‘Once upon a time,’

Today we are going to read some 4 sound words. Print out the board game below. If you don’t have a printer, read the words on the computer. Read the words and move along the board to reach the finish line. Have a go at writing the words on the Spelling sheet using the template below.

Did you know the Eiffel Tower stands at 1,063 feet (324 metres), from its base to the tip? Today we would like you to have a go at measuring some household objects (and some members of your family) using your hands and feet! Measure two or three people in your house. Who is the tallest? Who is the shortest? Measure three items, which item is the longest? Can you order them? Shortest to longest?

Henri Matisse was a famous French artist he used different paper to create large scale paper collages.

Henri Matisse created a piece of artwork called ‘The Snail’. Use this as your inspiration to create your own piece of artwork; you may want to create a snail or even a caterpillar.

Today we would like you to become outdoor explorers! As you know, there are lots of famous French food dishes, including some funny ones like frog’s legs and snails!

We thought it would be fun if you could hunt in your garden to see if you could find a snail. Observe how the snail moves, does it run? Does it slide? Does it slither? Have a go at moving like a snail? Think about the speed in which they move. Is it fast or slow? Do they always go in one direction or do they change? Have a hunt for some other minibeasts, observe how they move, how do they travel across your garden? Have a go at moving like lots of different minibeasts.

Mime is a type of acting that does not use words or speech. Mime is all about physical movement and exaggerating your expressions. Mimes must use their actions to send a message or tell a story. They are not allowed to speak at all! Did you know the most famous mime was Marcel Marceau, from France? Today we would like you to have a go at transforming into a mime - trust us, it is harder than you think. Click on the link below to watch a clip of a mime. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ca9SWT_2g-s What did you think? Have a go! In recent times, the rainbow has become a symbol of support for the NHS key workers. We thought it would be nice for you to learn the song ‘I can sing a rainbow’. Use the link below to access the song on the BBC website. Whilst watching the video and singing the song please try to read the words. https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/school-radio/nursery-rhymes-i-can-sing-a-rainbow/zn3tqp3 We have included the French words for each of the colours; maybe you could have a go at learning some of these words.

You may even decide to create your own rainbow using pencils, collage or paint. Don’t forget to display this in your window to show support for the NHS key workers.

Draw a picture of your favourite toy. Write some sentences to describe your toy on the writing frame below. For example, if we were writing about Buzz Lightyear: He has a helmet. He has a red button. He is green and white. If your toy had superpowers, what would it be able to do? He can talk. He has wings and can go into the air.

Your sound of the day is ur

ideas. Remember to segment the word. Play the ur and ow sorting game on Polly’s Phonics.

Espresso Phonics have lots of Phase 3 videos and activities for you to watch and play. Keep exploring the Polly’s Phonics website for some lovely phonics games. The children have watched the videos in class so they will be useful to share once more.

Today we would like you to practice your addition and subtraction skills. First we would like you to have a go at doing this practically (concrete) with different objects you can find around your home, this could be pegs of the washing line, Lego, pencil crayons or even chocolate buttons! Then, we would like you to have a go at recording using drawings (pictorial) Finally, we would like you to have a go at recording using number sentences (abstract). You could use lots of things around your house to create your own addition and subtraction word problems, for example a bag of crisps or packet of biscuits. First I had 3 biscuits. Then Mummy ate 1 biscuit. Now I have 2 biscuits.

Today we are thinking about friends. Whilst listening to the song ‘You’ve Got A Friend In Me’ from Disney’s ‘Toy Story’. think about all of the things that make a good friend. Who is your best friend? What do you like about them? Are there things that you like that are the same? Are there things that you like that are different? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XHFy3YWpRx8 Draw a picture of you and your friend. Think of 3 nice things about them and then 3 things that make them a good friend. Can you make a plan or a list of some activities you would like to do with your friend the next time you see them?

For your last PE session of the week,we would like you to have a go at balancing. Please use the sheet provided to have a go at the balancing activities.

You could take a photo or draw a picture to show us. You could tell us how you have improved your balancing skills.

Wednesday Physical - How to be a mime

To play these games, write down actions that a child must act out without using words. If there are multiple children, they can try to guess. Children may

enjoy thinking up actions for others to act out, too.

Across the room - Children pretend like they are across a crowded room from a friend and want to convey a message. Possible messages might be:

I am tired and want to leave.

The food here is terrible.

The person I’m talking to is so fun!

Take a picture of me and the person I’m talking to.

Can you get me a drink?

I am very hungry!

Feelings -Write down single emotions like:

Excited, Frightened, Bored, Shy, Surprised, Cross etc.

Who am I? Think of various professions such, Baker, Artist, Life guard, Teacher, Farmer

Guess what I’m doing Write down every day actions like:

Brushing your teeth, climbing stairs, knitting washing dishes, folding laundry, baking a cake
