4. What is the significance of the writer of Hebrews quoting (Psalm 2:7) in (v. 5)?

Paul explained the meaning of this quote in (Acts 13:33-34). This does not refer to

Jesus being born but to Jesus being resurrected. He is the only High Priest

that died and was resurrected

a. Melchizedek is the only priest who was also a king.

Melchizedek did not die. (see Heb. 7:1-5) Of course he died at some point but we have no record of it.

c. Jesus is seen as a heavenly High Priest because He did not belong to the tribe

of Levi which is the earthly priest line.

7. What does the phrase “being made perfect” in (v. 9) imply?

The word perfect means “complete.” Jesus is our complete, perfect sacrifice

and gives eternal life

8. Does the phrase in (v. 9) “them that obey Him” suggest that one can lose his salvation through disobedience?

Absolutely not! It means “to trust God” to put your faith in Christ
