The course has been designed to help various groups with a basic awareness of the contribution of an invasion game (football) to the Physical Education Purpose of Study at KS1 and KS2. The award also includes elements associated with working with a school team linked to The FA’s Youth development review. • Have a greater awareness of the contribution of invasion games have to KS1 & 2 PE purpose of study • Understand how to set up an organised football activity session • Understand how to organise basic FUNdamental games to help develop Physical Literacy • Have an understanding of how to modify practices to manage difference • Understand how to set up 4v4 games for young players • Understand The FA’s playing and coaching philosophy Learning Outcomes At the end of the course you will: • Creating a Safe Learning environment • FUNdamental games to support physical literacy • Organising games for effective and progressive learning • Outline of the FA Future Game & Playing Philosophy • Helping With a Team; Preparing for the game, Warm-up prior to the game, Organising and managing players’ expectations The course will cover: WHEN: Wednesday 22nd March 2017, 9:00am – 4:00pm WHERE: QPR FC, Loftus Road Stadium, South Africa Road, W12 7PJ WHO: All learners must work in a school and hold QTS COST: FREE to attend (refreshments will not be provided)
