We are once again participating in “Row By Row.” is year’s theme is ” Home Sweet Home.” Row by Row runs starts on June 21 and runs through September 6. is year, Europe has been added. We will have our row on display and on our Facebook page by June 1. Shop Hop is coming in August. We have added another day to give you time to make it to the different shops. is year’s Shop Hop theme is “Colorado Road Trip” and will be August 4-7. Quilt –A-Fair will be September 23-24 at the Boulder County Fairgrounds. I plan on having a booth there again this year. We will be starting another mystery quilt in May. is is a six-month mystery designed by Debbie Caffery. We will have supply list for you soon. e Open House would be a great time to get your fabrics for the quilt. e mystery last six months, with a new clue available each month. ere is no cost to join the mystery if you come in each month and get your clue. If you don’t come in, the clue will cost you $3 per month. ere are a lot of fun classes in this session. We had a few request for classes and we are offering them. Gypsy Wife, and a class on English Paper Piecing are two examples of requested classes. If there is a class that you would like just let us know and we will see what we can do. We will be making pillowcases and donate them to the two charities that are near and dear to our hearts – Sun Gate and the Tennyson House on Monday May 16. We will be using donated fabrics for the pillowcase. If you have fabric that you know you are not going to use, why not donate it? You can drop off fabric and other sewing supplies, and we will get pillowcases to local charities that can use them. We will be starting a new block of the month program called Star Spangled Liberty. It is a nine-month program starting in September. Summer quilting adventures await

Spring is in air! It is warm outside; the birds are singing. It is time for new beginnings: new flowers are blooming, and new classes are starting at Fabric Expressions. This is going to be a busy summer. We are once again participating in “Row By Row.” This year’s theme is ” Home Sweet Home.” Row by Row runs starts on June 21 and runs through September 6. This year, Europe has been added. We will have our row on display and on our Facebook page by June 1. Shop Hop is coming in August. We have added another day to give you time to make it to the different shops. This year’s Shop Hop theme is “Colorado Road Trip” and will be August 4-7. Quilt –A-Fair will be September 23-24 at the Boulder County Fairgrounds. I plan on having a booth there again this year. We will be starting another mystery quilt in May. The locations of study areas and block needlework will be: The Czech Republic and Slovakia – motifs of flowers, basic embroidery. engliSH paper piecing: have you ever wanted to learn how to English paper piece? You can make the traditional Grandmother’s flower garden or many other patterns. There are a

elK: Learn to make this fun wall hanging of an elk with the look of a stained glass window. You will learn how to work with bias strips. You can

gypSy Wife: Gather up your fabrics and make this fun and unique sampler quilt. Jen Kingwell has put blocks together with a wide variety of strips to make this stunning quilt. Hexie garDen: Stars and flowers fill this springtime garden. At first glance, you might think Hexie Garden is beyond your skill set, but wait. The block is sewn together in rows like a 9-patch. abSoluTe beginnerS: Discover quilt making and learn the basics without a great investment in time or materials. You can use our rotary cutter, mats, and rulers as you construct a lap size quilt. appliQué club: Do you have a passion for appliqué? Are you interested in working on projects, learning various techniques, participating in show and tell and sharing your morning with fellow appliqué enthusiasts? Come join our monthly club! This year’s project will be a three-color monthly block exchange. This club as already started but you can still join. This is how it works. You pick black and white fabrics that will be used as backgrounds and then you pick a color to be appliquéd on your background fabrics. You can as many shades of your color you pick. You can have more than one color also. Each month you will be responsible of making a 12-inch block using the fabrics other members have chosen. We meet on the second Friday of each month. If you are already a member of the club you already signed up for the year. Fridays 5/13, 6/10, 7/8, 8/12 $50

STaSH club: Do you have a large fabric stash? There are a lot of books and patterns out there to help use up some of your scraps and stash. We are starting a new club. We will be working scrappy quilts. The first quilt by Pat Speth (Nickel Quilts) from one of her books you pick. After that the club

Kim DieHl club: Each month will feature a new “do-able” little quilt with traditional patchwork and a sprinkling of some appliqué here and there! Designed by Kim Diehl. They really will be “do-able” & none of the
