The TVET Advanced course develops strategic and leadership skills of selected trainers enhancing their training skills and capabilities. The objectives of the training will be to: Enable participants to further develop their capacity to train and assess learners in their industry of expertise Improve participants’ teaching, assessment and operating abilities in VET increasing skills and knowledge manage training programs and Gain deeper understanding of vocational education and culture through specifically designed practical activities Successful participants will go on to undertake stage 3 of the ITAC Mentoring Program after which our trainers will be certified to directly deliver the TVET Trainer Course and TVET Assessor Course under Kangan Institute supervision to participants in India and Saudi Arabia The intensive course will be attended by trainers from Leighton, IL&FS and also OGM staff including OGM Saudi Arabia Country Administrator and Lead Trainer, Mr. Abdulmohsen Alwabari. OGM was again the major sponsor of the 5th Indian Nationals of the Australian Rules Football played inKolkata on 16th and 17th January
AFL legend Kevin Sheedy together with Bendigo Umpires Association officials took the Indian playersthrough umpiring workshops and skills development sessions for the widely popular Australian sport Theevent was also attended by representatives from the AFL Essendon Football Club AFL Multicultural ClubABC GWS Giants Official Golden Square Football Netball Club and OGM officials
200+ players representing seven India States travelled to compete for the OGM Cup nationalchampionship Many of the players come from underprivileged backgrounds and through thisChampionship get an opportunity to learn and develop a new skill The experience is truly enriching forthe young boys
OGM has now sponsored the competition for five years We also took the opportunity to guide the youngboys on trade skill courses offered by OGM introducing them to a range of career pathways OGM alongwith AFL India also plan to launch scholarship programs in the coming seasons for the participants tosupport them in their training and career progression
