WHAT IS A WAITING LIST?
The waiting list is designed to allow existing and new teams an equal opportunity to participate in Sport For Fun. The waiting list is posted at the bottom of each sports draw and will indicate the start date for your team.
If the draw is full when you enter or re-enter a team, you will go on the waiting list. Date of payment of your new games determines your team’s position on the waiting list. To avoid going on a waiting list teams are encouraged to pay for as many games as possible when they enter. Please be aware of your team’s start date as teams will be shifted from the waiting list into the draw when space becomes available.
WHEN IS THE DRAW DONE?
The draw is done on a weekly basis and uploaded on www.otago.ac.nz/recreation at least two days prior to game day. Entries received within this period are not guaranteed a place in the draw for that week. This is because once the draw has been loaded onto the website administration for that round has been closed off. At this time referees have also been organised for set times.
CANCELLATIONS
For cancellations please check the Unipol Recreation Centre website (www.otago.ac.nz/recreation) or phone (479-5888). Unipol Recreation Centre reserves the right to cancel, change or add to the programme at any stage.
DEFAULTS
At least 24 hours notice is required when your team wants to default. When defaulting you are forfeiting the game you have already paid for. Defaults made within 24 hours of the game are deemed as a no show.
NO SHOW
If your team does not show for your game you will be charged for an additional game as well as the ‘no show’ game. Two ‘no shows’ will result in your team being removed from the competition. ‘No shows’ are incredibly frustrating for everyone so please be considerate and call Unipol (479-5888) or e-mail ([email protected]) as soon as you find out your team can’t play.
