7/27/2015 Update: Abatement and demolition of the rear of the building continues and is

expected to be completed prior to freshmen move‐in on August 28. Bid documents for early

release site/foundations/structural steel package were issued on 7/26 and the associated work is

to occur during the fall semester. Bid documents for the balance of the project are expected in

late‐August. The ESL program moved into swing space on 7/20. The final move into swing

space this summer will be the English Department office on August 17. The balance of Hamilton

Smith will be vacated the first week of January 2016, and the contractor will then fully mobilize.

Construction is expected to be complete such that we can re‐occupy the building in time for fall

2017 classes.
