Total flexibility with Coswin n tier architecture

Coswin is built on state-of-the-art architecture Java/HTML/XML. Its flexibility allows easy de-ployment on existing hardware and network infrastructures. The software will be familiar to you and easily assimilated. We know your environment: over the last 5 years Coswin has been implemented into hundreds of different configurations, from simplest to the most ad-vanced, local, wide area, remote access, small and massive systems.

ServersThe 3rd tier (database server) and the middle tier (or application server) are the two main pillars of a distributed deployment. for a sim-ple installation the n tier configuration can be compressed so that both the application and database server run on the same computer. for more complex sites such servers can be many and distributed geographically and yet all be made to work together in a way transparent to the end user.

Clientsfor the customer, at the “client” level, Coswin provides for both main types of clients:

The rich client, implemented in Java for ex- ■

tensive graphics and a high functionality user interface; The thin client, full Web and implemented in ■

HTML for greater flexibility for remote users & very large configurations. Coswin uses XML and Javascript but does not use Active-X or applets.

The basics

Apart from Coswin 7i ‘s rich function-ality is the extensive customisation technologies that are delivered with it. for instance, web services are part of an integration toolset that guarantees complete & high performance inter-op-erability with your other IT systems.Another example is the Screen Editor that can customise each screen for a user or a group of users, essential for simplifying the lives of technicians. The same tool allows you to add or re-move fields and even to add or remove modules, require that certain fields are mandatory and so on.
