Place the frame onto the greaseproof paper & draw round the shape with a pencil. Cut out the shape. Now cut some long strips for lining the sides making sure they are about 1.5cm deeper than the depth of the cake frame. Make a fold about 1.5cm deep along the strips. Make small cuts up to the fold about 1.5cm apart. Handy Hint : For ease and quickness, grease the tin with Cake Release which can be brushed on or even easier, try Bake Easy Spray! Lastly place the base liner into the frame. For best results carefully grease the lining paper. Always allow the cake to cool completely before turning it out onto a cooling rack. This is very important as the cake is more liable to break if turned out too quickly. Shaped Aluminium (Wilton) Pans We recommend that you use the Cake Release or Bake Easy Spray when using shaped aluminium pans.
