About EIE Programme : “Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (EIE) is a multi—disciplinary stream and covers subjects from various branches such as chemical, mechanical, electrical, electronics and computers, and it deals with measurement, control and automation of processes”. EIE graduates carry out the task of measuring, installing, developing, testing, maintaining and designing various instruments used in the industry. The field of instrumentation is rapidly expanding its boundaries because of demanding applications in various fields. The curriculum of B. Tech EIE is designed in such a way that, after completion of the courses, the students will be able to gain hands-on experience in the design, analysis and implementation skills, which are required in electronics, electrical, computer, mechanical and instrumentation industries to make systems completely automated and intelligent. Apart from covering core subjects, the students deal with software and hardware topics such as microprocessor and micro controller based instrumentation, VLSI and embedded system design and so on, Computer languages such as ‘C’ and Data Structures and C++ are also part of the Curriculum.
