SLLL’s FACULTY MANUAL on EFFECTIVE LEADERSHIP SKILLS SRG
Session Objective - To introduce the audience to the definition and importance of ‘Effective Leadership Skills’ (henceforth termed as ‘ELS’) in their professional lives. It is to be noted that the activities are pointing towards working professionals rather than day to day student actions. Slide 3 contains the following session objectives:
What is effective leadership?
Identify the traits and skills of an effective leader
Examine the role, duties and responsibilities of a Team Leader in the workplace
Develop a plan to develop your own leadership potential
What is to be done –
1. Begin with the accompanying ELS power point. Use the given tasks to subsequently de brief the students on the session objectives so that the students self realize the true importance of being an effective leader.
2. Carry on with the ppt. Rules/discipline to be followed in the class can be announced before closing the session.
