Alyssa’s roles range from generalMoodle support on a daily basis to ensuring that exams run smoothlyboth inside and outside the Test Centre and beyond to helping todeliver external exams for students who require a space to completeexams for other institutions. Previously,he taught at Western University in the Richard Ivey School ofBusiness and the Edwards School of Business, University ofSaskatchewan. A recent President of the ManagementAccounting Section of the American Accounting Association, hisresearch interests involve the design of management controlsystems to foster empowerment and strategic adaptation,developing a methodology for bridging the academic research–practice divide, and addressing the reproducibility crisis inscience.

Her main areas of researchand clinical practice center around promoting value-based ethicsand educating people about emotional regulation to reducesuffering and promote healthy functioning. She recently won anaward from a major women's shelter for providing exceptionalclinical and ethical consultation to their staff.

Dr. HJ Wieden is a driver of research innovation who excels atidentifying and implementing new opportunities. He leads a highly-productive research program and has implemented many successfulinitiatives such as the award-winning iGEM program, the Alberta RNAResearch and Training Institute (ARRTI), the Synbridge Maker Space,and the NSERC CREATE training program in RNA Innovation. He isdeeply engaged in policy development and advocacy through theCanadian Society of Molecular Biosciences (CSMB) as president-electand as advisor to the international NTI:Bio program aiming to reducebiosecurity threats.
