Jog Away:Allows you to pause program execution and JOG any axis

without aborting the machining operation. Program execution

can continue at the new position or return automatically to the

original position.

Fadal Macro Language:A standard feature that allows you to generate and

customize programs.

1) Create custom menus that enable you to select the number

of parts, sizes, or number of holes.

2) Perform Statistical Process Control (SPC). When combined

with the optional probe, touch-points can be output to the

serial port for data collection or printed forms may

be generated.

3) Define machine shapes via mathematical formula.

4) Write macros that can create a family of parts.

5) Create a custom, tool-life management system.

6) Perform conditional programming, which allows modifying

the machining process according to operator response or

inspection results from a probe.

Commands:Commands such as PRINT, SPRINT, INPUT, IF-THEN, GOTO

and CLEAR are available. Math functions can perform tasks to

generate 3-D surfaces such as spheres, cones, spiral pocketing

etc. Macros can also reference 100 user-reserved variables;

including axis position, tool length and diameter or radius, fixture

offsets, touch points, tool timers, clocks and current tool.

FANUC® Compatibility:Available for veteran Fanuc users. Existing Fanuc programs can

be run on Fadal machines with virtually no editing. This reduces

time spent reprogramming and eliminates the time required for

the programmer to learn a new format.

Learn Mode:A powerful tool used to teach the control how to machine a part.

Simply JOG the machine axes to the desired positions and the

CNC writes them into the program.

Engraving:Is useful and easy to use, and enables you to engrave comments

or ID numbers into the work piece with only one line of code.

One of two different engraving styles allows the user to make

stencils. Engraving combined with Flat Cam Programming allows

the user to engrave on a rotary die. Mirror imaging the engraved

characters is also possible for mold making.

4TH AXIS Flat Cam programming (G17, Q)simplifies axis programming (requires a rotary axis option) and

allows you to program the work piece in the XY plane as if it were

rolled out flat. The CNC then converts the XY program motion to

an XA or XB motion. The feature is especially useful for producing

rotary dies.

Modal Subroutine (G66, G67)Modal Subroutine creates customized fixed cycles, create a

custom drill, bore cycle, pocketing routine, or any other routine.

The user has simply to call up the modal subroutine and define

the position; the routine is automatically executed at each

specified location on the work piece.

Axis Reciprocation (M10-MI3)Axis Reciprocation permits any one axis to reciprocate

independently of the others, which is useful for establishing

surfaces with minimal programming.

Part RotationBy referencing known points of a piece of raw part material a part

program can be rotated around the X and Y axes. This feature is

helpful when dealing with large or difficult to move material and

allows the part to be machined without timely physical rotation

and fixturing.

Part ScalingEnlarging or decreasing the size of a part program while

maintaining the tool path geometry is possible with the Fadal

Scaling feature. This feature allows part programs to manipulated

for machining of same part shape in multiple sizes.

Optional Fadal 32MP CNC The 32MP provides a shop floor PC interface to the Fadal

Multi-Processor CNC. It is equipped with a Celeron CPU and color

monitor. This PC has expansion slots, which allow network and

system upgrade capabilities. Bundled with the 32MP Control,

Virtual Gibbs, is a unique CAM package that allows print to part

programming with minimal training and documentation. Its simple

graphic interface helps you to program parts quickly and easily.

With solid model rendering, the user can view their part on the

screen while it's cut in real time. This feature includes detection

for tool shank interference, tools rapiding through walls and

non-bottom cutting tools attempting to bore with the Z-axis.

Fadal MP CNC Control

Easy to Learn - Easy to Use - Powerful Standard Features The flexibility of our menu driven command structure, combined

with the inherent simplicity of a keyboard interface, enable us to

provide our users with new, updated software features that can

be added in the field. A long list of powerful standard features that

make programming, part setup and machine operation simple and

straight forward are standard in the Fadal MP CNC.

Menu Prompting:Displays all the machine functions in English, and walks the user

through the set up process from start to finish. Quick setup

utilities allow fast and easy part setup by automating the many

steps it would normally take to establish offsets.

99 Tool Offsets:After jogging to the offset position, push a button; the CNC stores

the length offset and then retrieves the next tool from the turret.

48 Fixture Offsets:

There are four utilities available for locating the starting positions:

1) Store position from JOG

2) Midpoint, halfway between two points

3) Corner, inside or outside

4) Center, calculated using three points. Select the option, jog to

each point and press compute. The computer calculates the

offset and automatically stores the position.

Run-Time Menu:Facilitates tool/fixture offset modification, dry run selection,

MST lockout, Z neglect and part time displays while running

the machine.

Quick Program Restart:Allows you to locate the desired starting point in the program.

The CNC establishes all G codes, M functions and axis positions

just prior to that block. The program then restarts and

automatically begins machining.

Quick Keys:Enable you to perform certain setup and operational functions

with the touch of one key. Available quick keys are: • Quick Auto

• Dry Run • Edit • Zero Return • Text Tool • Set Length

• Offsets – Diameter, Fixture and Tool Life Management

• Axis Zero • Read • Punch • Custom Macro

Powerful Program Editing with Functions Menu:More than 30 programming functions that allow you to easily

create programs right at the machine. Menu prompting

is available for all cycles (drilling, taping, boring, pocketing,

engraving, etc.). You fill in the data, push a button and the

computer automatically inserts the necessary NC code.

Background Editing is also possible. Editing the part program

while machining, adds greater operator flexibility.

Comprehensive Geometry and Trigonometric functions are

provided to compute a part profile at the machine. The

functions listed in the image below enable you to blend a radius

between two circles, find a parallel line, establish tangents,

or create a circle using three known points.

Program Verification:A graphic representation of the machining operation that helps

detect geometry errors or other programming anomalies prior to

machining the part. Isometric or top views are selectable. Zoom

in/out enables you to isolate a specific detail and reference any

position. Each move can be specifically displayed, as well as the

absolute position and model G codes.
