• Went out to buy a rental house in a sleazy suburb…Hawthorne
• 1971 and the price was…???

– They said NO– Credit union and building society
said no to house but yes as a personal loan!
– One said $3,000 but only for say…furniture
– Another said $4000 but for say…a car
– I said but I don’t want furniture and a car…
• Maybe I do. $3k + $4k = $7k
