Assignment Objectives

• Educate the public on issues and activities relating to CASA Fairfax and Youth Advocacy

• Increase volunteerism; help recruit, screen and train potential volunteer advocates

• Increase contributions to CASA Fairfax and its partner organizations

• Keep people aware and involved in the CASA mission

• Maintain consistency and synergy with the national CASA program

Additional Fairfax CASA Objectives

The Fairfax CASA website should be:

• An effective public face for the organization.

• A place where prospective volunteers can glean more information about how to become a CASA volunteer and even respond by completing an application.

• A place where current volunteers can review in-service training opportunities/activity calendars, etc.

• A place where donors and prospective donors can learn about the organization and what it accomplishes and will become more engaged in the organization.

• Implement Current Volunteer Forums.

• Implement the floating “Donate” box.

• Implement the “Bing” or “Slashdot” page extension on the Volunteer page.

• Implement full website search functionality.

• Create sample dynamic, interactive stories for the main page.

• Meets the first and fourth additional objectives, to be an effective public face for the organization and to be a place where donors can learn about the organization.
