Pastor Ted will be with us thru December 2017, but we may request that he be extended if necessary. This will not be a fast or easy process. The Call Committee will meet regularly to discuss the many issues facing our church and will be responsible to the congregation for collecting input. Among the many things to consider: Do we want/need a full time pastor or part-time? How will Thanksgiving Lutheran Church fit in to our plan? (We are no longer actively pursuing them). Do we desire Reconciliation in Christ (RIC)* or not? Ultimately, the choice of which Pastor to hire will depend on these questions being faithfully explored and answered honestly by our congregation. If you have strong ideas, opinions, recommendations on this process, please let us hear from you. Please plan to attend the First “Town Hall” meeting: June 4 after worship, the first of several of these meetings to help us in our quest. “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— and the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. Heartfelt remembrances were offered by grandsons, daughters, sons-in-law,, co-workers, family and friends. Please keep Donna and her family in your prayers. Donna was a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church. The total General (non-Designated) income for March 2017 was $10,924.71 Year to date was $33,963.81. The General expenses for March were $8,370.72 Year to date was $27,637.65. The total net income for March was $2,553.99 Year to date net income was $6,326.16. The amount transferred and paid to the Benevolence was $511.67 (was paid in April) Special funds received were $100.00 for Campus Maintenance, $61.28 from Dine & Donate, $12.50 from Jam sales, $10.00 from India’s Necklaces, $148.00 from Shopping spree, $23.79 from Scrip and $340.00 from Flowers.

1) Offering donations for March were under budget by 1,055.58 (see page 1 of the Income & Expense Budget Performance, line 1, column 3), and year-to-date they were under budget by 1,381.78. (see page 1 of the Income & Expense Budget Performance, line 1, column 6) Revelations & QuickBooks have not been reconciled yet.

2) Total income for March was under budget by 1,377.99 (see page 1 of the Income & Expense Budget Performance, last line, column 3), and year-to-date they were under budget by 2,944.22 (see page 1 of the Income & Expense Budget Performance, last line, column 6)

3) Total expenses for March were under budget by 4,039.46 (see page 4 of the Income & Expense Budget Performance, 3rd to last line, column 3), and year-to-date were under budget by 9,601.73 (see page 4 of the Income & Expense Budget Performance, 3rd to last line, column 6).

4) Net income for March was over budget by 2,661.47 (see page 4 of the Income & Expense Budget Performance, last line, column 3), and year-to date were over budget by 6,657.51 (see page 5 of the Income & Expense Budget Performance, last line, column 6).

5) You will notice Notes, Mortgages & Leases 27.1 has a new balance of 430,152.15. This is the balance due on the Pre-School mortgage.(see page 2 of the Balance Sheet, 10th line from the bottom, column 1)
