Welcome in the name of Jesus! We’re are so glad you are here today, whether you are a visitor or a long-time member, and anywhere in between! We believe one of the best things we can do is gather together to worship our Lord and Savior, to hear from His Word, be strengthened through His Sacrament, and encourage one
another through fellowship. So welcome again, and if you have any questions or concerns please speak to one of our ushers or to Pastor Mark.
A New Members Class will be held, Friday, October 11th at 7:00 PM here at the church in the Multi-Purpose Room, in the fel-lowship hall. All those who desire to become official members, as well as those who are seeking more information on our church, are welcome to come! We also encourage folks who have recently transferred in as members from another LCMS congregation to at-tend, as it’s a great way to get acclimated to this congregation.
New member classes here at Faith meet for only one or two ses-sions (so please keep Saturday morning open as well, even though we have never had to meet then.) Refreshments will be served and plan to be here until 9:30 PM or so.
Our “Growth Through Faith” Stewardship campaign is moving along well, and we hear encour-aging news from Richie Musser and Kirby-Smith Associates. Many thanks to all who have commit-ted to help pay down our mortgage, and for your continued giving to this campaign. May God bless us all with the desire and continued ability to follow through on those commitments. We will have a more detailed report at the end of October to share concerning amounts raised so far, etc. If anyone needs more envelopes, or information material, they are available in the church office, on the front counter. To God be the glory!
At the District Pastor’s Conference in Daytona this past week, we heard from one of our pastors in Bahamas, a native and who has been involved in mission and ministry to Bahamas for many years and is helping direct the current relief effort. He said he personally has visited Abaco and Grand Bahama, and it drove him to tears to see the total destruction and devastation. He be-lieves that the people of those areas will probably start returning “in the next 90 days to six months” to start rebuilding. He told us that material supplies are adequate at this time and encour-aged financial contributions. He said they will need it to purchase the necessary items for clean-up and restoration. You can continue to make donations to Faith Lutheran labelled for “Bahaman Re-lief”, and you may also donate via the District webpage. Any questions see Pastor Mark or call the church office.
