REQUIREMENTS (CONT’D)

Look and FeelSilly Beans coffee shop is looking for a high energy, clean, modern and mature feel. Many existing coffee shops have already gone with earthy colors, and Silly Beans wants to provide an atmosphere that matches the effects of coffee- energetic, bright, and happy to distinguish them from their competitors.

Although the target market is similar to other coffee shops, Silly Beans will be naturally more appealing to high-energy people, such as women out shopping and lively businessmen. The high energy atmosphere should transfer to the web presence in order to promote the bright and healthy theme.

Delivery Requirementsmust be live prior to grand opening of the store. The social media presence and other marketing should be well in place by opening and focus on promoting the ‘Grand Opening’ event. The branding should also be finalized and well defined.

CONTENT & COMPETITOR ANALYSIS

• Other coffee shops in the future location have a very typical look and feel that focuses on dark ‘coffee colors’ and elaborate drink names using foreign languages strategically to appear sophisticated. The websites of the companies are very simple and dark with few updates. The websites are not mobile friendly and often difficult to use. However the competitors have well established social media presence with regular updates and many followers.

• The basis of most of the competitor’s websites is a 5-10 page site including the home page (often with a basic slider), a menu in PDF format, an introduction to how the store came to be, and a contact page with a large google map.

•

• Silly Beans will aim to be competitive to the competitor’s websites by choosing a distinct color scheme, creating regular updates/promotions, and having a brief description of all menu items. Specialty and promotional items will have a separate page explaining what makes the item unique and the website will have many professional food photographs.

PROMOTIONAL PLANWeb Marketing Plan – Online Marketing StrategiesSilly Beans online presence will be a strong focus of the marketing strategy. Since Silly Beans does not have a history of reviews or social media, it will take a considerable effort to build a good reputation in a small amount of time. Faithbot will set up a strong foundation of social media which will then be handed over to a designated Silly Beans employee with basic advice on how to create effective social media.

Cont’d• The specific social media areas to be

set up by faithbot include:

• Facebook page, with the all branding images

• Facebook ‘event’ linked to the page, with giveaways to promote ‘likes’ and promote attendance at the grand opening

• Twitter feed with interesting facts about coffee and photos of food that will influence users to re-tweet and follow the feed

• Google+ account with all information. The ‘Grand Opening’ event will offer something for free and encourage people to write positive reviews

Web Marketing Plan – Real World Marketing Strategies• Strong branding will be

developed to ensure consistency and build familiarity with Silly Beans

• Community flyers and signs should be printed to promote the opening within the local area

REAL WORLD MARKETING STRATEGIES CONT’D

• The Faithbot team has proposed a vehicle graphic package, provided by an affiliate company (Big Print Signs Company), to assist in the lead up to the ‘Grand Opening’. An adhesive vinyl decal, to be designed by Faithbot will be applied to a rented Ford Transit van and driven around Calgary, finding hotspots in the city, and handing out sample baking. Should Silly Beans wish to make an arrangement for a leased vehicle, especially the Ford Transit, an existing partnership with Marlborough Ford can be of use in absorbing the cost of the wrap application onto the vehicle into a lease agreement.

•

• Why a wrap?

• Adhesive vinyl wraps are roughly at par with professional paint and protect a vehicle’s finish. The wrap can be removed at a later time and the finish is in good shape for resale.
