We celebrated Thanksgiving to thank God for all he has given us with our faith and hope of continued good will for all God’s people. On November 14, 2020 Santa Maria Del Mar Parish and Assembly 2810 hosted our first Veterans Day Celebration and the presentation of the Tony Gasparino “Lest We Forget Awards”. The following brother Knights received a Veterans Award: Tony Gasparino, US Army, Vietnam (Posthumously); John Van Kooten, US Coast Guard, WWII, Omaha Beach (First Wave); Pat Martelucci, US Navy, WWII; Joe Camarda, US Navy, WWII; Bill Klinkenberg, USMC, Korea; Ed Godfrey, US Navy, Korea: Ken Wall, US Navy, Korea; Charles Miller, USMC, Korea. The following received the Law Enforcement Award: Chief Matt Doughney, Flagler Beach, police Department; Sheriff Rick Staly, Flagler County Sheriff’s Office and Chief Robert Pace, Flagler Beach Fire Department received the Fire/Rescue Award. I want to thank Father Manny, Past Faithful Navigator Bob Calabrese, Claudia Gasparino, Past Faithful Navigator Bryant Perszyk and Color Corps Commander Frank Consentino for making this ceremony a memorable one (see photos below & article on page 5). On November 12, 2020, our Assembly participated in the Santa Maria Del Mar Mass of Remembrance where the names of our departed brothers from Notre Dame Council 10514 and Corpus Christi Assembly 2810 were read (see page 6). Our Color Corp Commander, Frank Consentino, was extremely busy in the month of November. Many thanks to SK Frank and the Color Corp members for their dedication, time and for attending the numerous call-outs during November. I sincerely appreciate all you have done and continue to do for our area churches and other events. Our December Assembly Business Meeting will be held on Tues., December 15, 2020 at the Santa Maria Del Mar Church at 5:00 PM. We will be having our Past Faithful Navigator Dinner on January 22, 2020 at the Halifax Plantation Restaurant. The festivities will start at 6:00 PM. There will be a cash bar and the prize is $50 pp. We will be honoring Past Faithful Navigators Tony Gasparino and Bryant Perszyk. (see flyer, bottom page 3). INSURANCE REPORT Insurance Check-Up for 2021

Where did 2020 go? It seems like it was summer yesterday and yet we just celebrated the Thanksgiving holiday.

I hope you and your family had a great 2020. Now, we are all preparing to ‘ring in’ 2021.

Hopefully, you’ve established a few goals for the upcoming year. I’ve learned a great tip regarding resolutions. First, write them down. It’s not too late if you haven’t already done this. Commit your goals to paper and post it someplace you will see it often. Writing down a goal is the first step towards achieving it. It may not make sense at first, but I’m sure you have heard stories of the success this simple task can bring. Whether your goal is to exercise more, give more to charity, read more or watch less television, you’re more likely to accomplish it if you write it down.

Second, resolve to have an expert look at your finances. I recommend that you have a team of

experts help you, and I would love to be the first you sit with. Let’s schedule some time to meet together, and I, your professional Knights of Columbus insurance agent, will provide an “insurance check-up” (at no cost!) that will evaluate any gaps in your family’s life insurance protection. Now might be the perfect time to fill those gaps, not later. Keep in mind that unlike many other products, you don’t just need money to obtain life insurance; you also need good health, and no one knows when your health could change.

Did I mention my check-up is free of charge? When was the last time you received something for free that could provide value to you and your family for generations? Call me today.

A PRAYER FOR PROTECTION IN TIME OF PANDEMIC

O Mary, you always brighten our path as a sign of salvation and of hope. We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick, who, at the Cross, took part in Jesus’ pain while remaining steadfast in faith. O loving Mother, you know what we need, and we are confident you will provide for us as at Cana in Galilee. Intercede for us with your Son Jesus, the Divine Physician, for those who have fallen ill, for those who are vulnerable, and for those who have died. Intercede also for those charged with protecting the health and safety of others and for those who are tending to the sick and seeking a cure. Help us, O Mother of Divine Love, to conform to the will of the Father and to do as we are told by Jesus, who took upon himself our sufferings and carried our sorrows, so as to lead us, through the Cross, to the glory of the Resurrection. Amen. Under thy protection we seek refuge, O Holy Mother of God. In our needs, despise not our petitions, but deliver us always from all dangers, O glorious and blessed Virgin. Amen.
