Iwerks November 1966 Walt Disney: As some people may know, I was felling a pain in my neck so I went into the doctor to see what was wrong- I am diagnosed with lung cancer. It will be a rough journey, but I am surviving. Hoping for luck! July 17, 1955 Walt Disney: Disneyland has finally opened! Of course at first it’s only invitation only (Sorry to anyone that I didn’t invite, we are still testing everything) but thanks to everyone who helped me get this far! September 8, 1955 Walt Disney: One million visitors. One million people coming to Disneyland. I can’t even tell you the joy filling my heart right now.
