The WalkThis is a moderate to challenging walk from the grandeur of Caerhays to the imposing majesty of Dodman Point.

Begin the walk at the car park by Porth-luney Beach (OS Map Ref: SW 975 414) with Caerhays Castle behind you. Bear to the right while facing the sea and pick up the South West Coast Path.

With the sea on your right follow the coast path down into the National Trusts Lambsowden Cove before climbing up (steep in places!) to Greeb Point.

Keep following the path until you reach Hemmick Beach, approximately two miles from your start point and a good place to stop for a beach picnic.

The coast path will take you around Gell Point and High Point before you climb up to Dodman Point.

From the summit on a clear day you can see Fowey, Looe and Rame Head to the east and Nare Head, the Roseland and West Cornwall to the west.

The WalkFrom the car park at Trelissick head south down the hill towards Channals Creek.

When you reach the beach at the base of the hill turn left and pick up the path that runs north along the shores of the steeply sided river.

When you reach the road continue ahead into Woodland Walk North. Before you get to the bottom of the hill take the footpath on the left hand side. After climbing the steps follow the well maintained path north along the steep sided shores of the river.

After half a mile the path turns west leaving the main river and following the shore of Lamouth Creek.

After half a mile you will reach the head of the creek and the path will split. Turn left and climb the valley to the B3289.

When you get to the gate carefully cross the busy road and enter the fac-ing gate on the other side of the road. The path will then take you back to the Trelissick car park.

The WalkEnjoy a gentle stroll taking in the best of this historic maritime town.

Start your walk at Discovery Quay, home to the National Maritime Museum Cornwall and Rick Steins Fish. Head down Arwenack Street to Custom House Quay for great views across the harbour.

Continue your walk through the town with its eclectic mix of shops and cafes before reaching the Prince of Wales Pier. Here youll find the Fal River Visitor Information Centre and Falmouths ferry hub.

From here, stroll up to the Moor before taking on the steps of Jacobs Ladder. You can head back down the steps once you get your breath back or walk parallel to the harbour before cutting back down to Arwenack Street.

From St Just continue North alongside St Just Creek before breaking away from the river and heading inland. The latter part of the walk is on the road so take care.

When you arrive at Smugglers Cottage you will be rewarded with arguably one of the best cream teas in Cornwall. Catch Smugglers Ferry to Trelissick Pontoon and an Enterprise Boat to Fal-mouth where you can catch a connect-ing ferry back to St Mawes if you need to return to the village.

views back along the coast on a clear day you can see The Lizard. Below you on the rocks, look out for the remains of the Ben Asdale, sadly wrecked on a wild winters night in 1978.

When you reach Swanpool, you can take a detour round the nature reserve, an SSSI that is home to swans and ducks. It is also the only place in the UK where you can find Trembling Sea Mat, a microscopic animal that thrives in brackish waters.

Leaving Swanpool, pick up the coast path again and head towards Gyllyngvase. Ahead of you, Falmouth town, Penden-nis Castle and St Anthonys Head and the lighthouse will start to come into view, and soon youll reach the Blue Flag Gyllyngvase Beach. Reward yourself with a cream tea at St Michaels Hotel & Spa before either walking or taking the bus back to Maenporth.

The WalkStart at Meudon car park and nip in for a coffee to set you on your way.

Walk down through Meudons gardens to their very own Bream Cove. Turn right and head across Rosemullion headland toward Helford River.

Keep heading along the beautiful banks of the Helford River past Durgan and follow the South West Coast Path to Helford Passage to the Ferry Boat Inn.

You can stop for lunch at the Ferry Boat before returning to Meudon via Carwin-ions footpath that runs through their bamboo plantation.

Once youre back at Meudon why not stop for a cream tea and refreshment, or full afternoon tea with all the trimmings?

For a shorter walk, just walk to Rosemul-lion before turning around a
