• Assistant Dean Diane Williamson will retire on June 30, 2016.
• Diane has been a loyal UWG employee since 1981 and joined the Richards College in 1997. She was the College IT Director before being named Assistant Dean in 2006.

New Scholarship
• Bill and Debbie Esslinger have established the James Alfred Cochran Rising Star Scholarship to honor the memory of the late Al Cochran.
• The scholarship will be awarded annually to an accounting major with a minimum 2.9 GPA and financial need.
• The scholarship was founded with a $25,000 donation, and others in the community have committed to adding to the endowment.
New Scholarship
• Frank and Chip Barron have established the Lindsey and Genet Barron Business Scholarship to honor the memory of their parents.
• The scholarship will be awarded annually to a student majoring in marketing or real estate (preference) with a minimum 2.5 GPA and financial need. Preference will be given to students from Newnan.
• The scholarship was founded with a $25,000 donation, with the first recipient expected Fall 2016.

• The Cancer Treatment Centers of America has agreed to a Platinum Sponsorship of the Center for Business and Economic Research.

Dean Evaluation• Composition of the Committee:
– The Review Committee will be composed of seven members:
• Committee chair, who is senior faculty from outside the College and is appointed by the Provost
• Six faculty from the College, one of which must be a department chair
– Provost and Dean have the right to object to the inclusion of one member of the committee.
– No person with a conflict of interest may serve on the Review Committee.
• Timeline of the Evaluation
– The Review Committee will provide its Evaluation Report to the Dean no later than February 28th of the academic year during which the evaluation is conducted.
– The Dean has the right to review and respond to the Review Committee’s Evaluation Report no later than March 28th.
– The Review Committee’s Evaluation Report and the Dean’s response shall be forwarded to the Provost no later than March 30th.
– The Chair of the Review Committee presents the results of the Dean’s Evaluation Report to the faculty of the Dean under evaluation no later than April 30th.

end of December (for faculty activities reports and annual evals) AND at the end of April (for College level reporting and AACSB data).
• Each faculty member – please sign up for Google Scholar. This will allow us to run reports for the College.
• We would like to keep 2014 and 2015 T&P packets for review by the team.
