11:15 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Assembly Middle School parents are encouraged to attend if your schedule allows. Athletic Center

Please join us for our mandatory Upper School assembly in the Athletic Center. We typically gather weekly to share performances, news, and upcoming events. We have arranged a special treat for families at this particular assembly in order to showcase the amazing variety of interesting endeavors that are pursued by our students. You’ll get a snapshot of the result of the passion and dedication our students apply to their education here at Williston.

5:30 p.m. Athletic Contests All are invited to attend. Varsity Boys Soccer, Williston vs. Suffield on Sawyer Field and Varsity Volleyball Williston vs. Suffield in the Athletic Center

5:45 p.m.–7:00 p.m. Dinner Birch Dining Commons

6:30 p.m.–7:30 p.m. Parents’ Association Wine and Cheese At the home of Head of School, Bob Hill and Kathryn Hill P’15, 37 Park Street

8:00 p.m. Fall Theater Production of RumorsWritten by the father of American comedy, Neil Simon, Rumors pokes fun at the high–stakes, frivolous world of upper class New Yorkers. Several affluent couples gather to celebrate the anniversary party of Charley and Myra Brock. Hilarity ensues when the guests find that there is no staff, the hostess is missing, and the host has shot himself in the earlobe.

Performances are October 18–20 and 25-27, all performances begin at 7:30 p.m. with the exception of October 26 which begins at 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 26 is free for Williston families. Tickets go on sale October 1. For reservations and more information please call (413) 529-3434.

8:00 a.m.–9:00 a.m. Parents’ Association Breakfast Meeting Cox Room, Birch Dining Commons

Sharon Saline, Psy.D., a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in Northampton, will present “What were you thinking?”: Understanding the Teenage Brain and Executive Functioning Skills. This talk will give you helpful, concrete information about how the developing adolescent brain affects thinking, organization, and problem-solving. Using humor, recent developments in neuroscience and clinical examples, Dr. Saline will share strategies that you can use to better support your child both at school and at home.

1:30 p.m. Athletic ContestsSome Middle School students will have athletic contests. All are invited to attend.
