July 11 - Paddleboarding Clinic 5 - 7 p.m. Come out and learn the latest craze on the water - Paddle-boarding. This is a fun fitness activity that will improve your core strength and balance. Instruction includes how to balance and paddling tech-niques.

Bring a towel, swimsuit or wet suit, and waterproof sunscreen. Also paddle shoes or old pair of sneakers are required. Meet at Person Lake Pa-vilion (weather permitting). Anyone under the age of 18 must be accom-panied by a legal guardian. Minimum age requirement for this event is 12 years of age. Cost is $15. Sign up by July 9. Space is limited.

July 13 - SINGLE AIRMEN Wild West Horseback Ride 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Come explore beautiful Estes Park area on a two hour trail ride across the continental divide. Enjoy the grandeur of the Rockies on this spectacular horseback trip filled with amazing scenery and wildlife viewing opportunities. Following the trail ride, we will enjoy lunch at the famous Stanley Hotel where the movie “The Shining” was based. Cost for the trip is $25 which includes transportation and the trail ride. You will want to bring money for lunch, water, and sunscreen! Register by July 8. Only 14 slots available.

July 18 - Family Fishing Day 6 - 8 p.m. Join us at the Person Lake Pavilion for a free family fish-ing night. We will be giving away free hotdogs while supplies last so bring the family by after work! Fishing is for those 15 and younger, but par-ents and older sibling are encouraged to come help out! All children must be accompanied by an adult. For this event, participating children do not need a permit to fish on this day. This is a catch and release event only fishing event! A prize will be given for biggest fish caught, youngest child catching a fish, and most fish caught.

Bring your own fishing poles. A limited supply of poles are available. Call ODR in advance to reserve the poles. In case of inclement weather, the event will be canceled.

July 20 - Zipline and Whitewa-ter Rafting SINGLE AIRMEN Trip 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Spend an adrenaline filled morning soaring over the tree tops on a canopy zipline tour. Af-ter conquering the intense morning challenge, enjoy a leisurely riverside

July 2 - 3, Patriotic Face Paint-ing 1 - 4 p.m. Get ready for the Fourth! Show your colors at the Family Picnic! Family Special; parents and their children - $10 for both to have one design. Children ages 6 and younger free. Bring your skin into the Studio and have a fun afternoon getting decorated. All face paint is removable, washable, and safe.

July 5 - 6, Fused Glass Fritters 1 - 4 p.m. Create small jewelry items with colored glass frit (crushed glass). Try your hand at making a dragonfly pin, pendant or earring set. Allow one hour to make your glass fritter. Cost will vary with choice of item, $10 - $20, and includes kiln fusing and fire polish finishing.

July 9 - 12, Hand-Built Wind Chimes 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Week long, clay marathon. Put on your grubby overalls and come on in to the An-telope Studio to play in the MUD! Students will learn hand built ceramic techniques to create stoneware clay wind chimes. Students may choose from several design choices, texture tiles and patterns to create a finished wind chime. Participants may come any of the days or times but should allow two hours to get the basic shape of the wind chime completed for kiln firing. An additional hour will be needed to glaze and string the wind chimes after being glaze fired. The cost is $25 and includes instruction, stoneware clay, finishing techniques, glazing and firing.

July 17, Toddlers Crafting Fun Every third Wednesday, 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Cost is $5.

July 13 - 20, Open Studio 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Time to paint a stein or make a new coffee mug to replace the ugly one on your desk? Bring the fam-ily and paint animals or banks. Cost will vary with choice of bisque item. Price includes glazes and firing for a finished product. Gnomes and turtles and butterflies, OH MY!!

July 23 - 27, Old West & Fron-tier Crafts Get into the Frontier Days spirit and bring the kids to have a cre-ative afternoon. Many kids’ activities include building a wood fort, cabin or covered wagon, create your own ban-dana with “wild colors”, learn about and make a Native American talking stick, create a bear claw necklace or make a dream catcher. Adult activi-ties include painting Western themed pottery. Paint a cowboy boot, old west

July 27 - Horsetooth Rock Hike 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Nestled in the foot-hills west of Fort Collins stands Horse-tooth Rock, a famous regional land-mark and destination. According to local legend, Horsetooth Rock is the remains of an evil giant’s heart cut in two by the powerful Chief Maunun-moku, thus protecting his people from the giant’s wrath. Price per person is $15. Bring your own lunch, water, and sunscreen. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian. Minimum age requirement for this hike is 12 years of age. This trip is a five mile hike and rated as a moderate hike. Deadline to sign up is July 25.

Missoula Children’s TheaterCalling all theater enthusiasts!

Get ready for this year’s Missoula Children’s Theater production of “Blackbeard the Pirate”. This is a week long event begins with auditions on July 22, 10 a.m. - noon at Fall Hall Community Center and ends with a full length musical performance on July 27 The show can utilize a maximum of 60 cast members ages 6 - 18. Dance CampYouth Programs will be hosting a

Dance Camp July 8 - 12 for children ages 5 - 18. Ages 5 - 10, 9 - 11 a.m. and ages 11 - 18, noon - 2 p.m. A recital will be held July 12 at 2 p.m. Cost $15 per child. Please sign up at the Youth Center.

4-H Cloverbuds CampYouth Programs will be hosting

a 4-H Cloverbuds Camp July 12, 8 - 11 a.m. at the Youth Center. This free camp is open to youth ages 5 - 8. The focus of the camp will be on healthy living to include physical fitness activities such as relay races and tennis and on how to make healthy snacks. Youth SportsYouth Indoor Soccer LeagueRegistration is July 1 - August 2

at the Youth Center for kids ages 5 - 13. The cost is $50 if signed up by July 12 and $55 after. Includes the use of team uniform. Each team will play at least 8 games. All games will be held in the Youth Gym starting the 1st week of Sept. Games will be played Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturday mornings. A parent meeting is August 7, 6 - 6:45 p.m. at the Youth Center. Coaches training is August 5, 6 p.m.
