Freshman Scholarship

School: Bacone College Major: Criminal Justice Future Plans: I will be attending Bacone College in the Fall of 2016. I plan on majoring in Criminal Justice, and minoring in Family Studies. While at Bacone I will participate in the football program, I would also like to try other extracurricular program that Bacone offers. When I finish college I would like to become Highway Patrol Officer and be able to help the Light Horseman if needed. I want to become a Police Office because I would like to be a hero and not a witness. Not everyone is a strong enough to stand up for themselves; I want to save people from making altering mistakes and help those who have made mistakes in the past.

Cvcke’ Enheromka Scholarship

School: University of Phoenix Major: Business Future plans: I am currently attending the University of Phoenix and working on my Bachelor's degree in Business with a certifica-tion in management. I want to strengthen our tribe ina na educa-tional sense or as in native women with degrees. I want to strengthen my tribe by offering all the new found knowledge I have gained with my own ideas. I want to be able to move up in my ca-reer and help our citizens, develop new ways to overcome obsta-cles we are facing and make this nation stronger. I enjoy working for my tribe and plan on using my degree to excel forward in my career and keep learning and keep growing.

Alfred Berryhill Scholarship

School: University of Oklahoma Major: Business/English Education Future plans: My goal is to achieve a degree in English/History and minor in Business. I have chosen English and History because I love the classes that I have taken and feel as though I would be able to teach children in subjects that I love. I have also chosen Business as my minor simply because I would someday like to pursue a business of my own or works as “THE BOSS” of a com-pany. But most importantly, higher education is a promise. That even, when knowledge seems unattainable and hopeless to gain, someone is willing to teach anyone who is willing to learn. I my friend am that one that is willing to learn.

George & Mollie (Jones) Hicks Scholarship

School: University of Oklahoma Major: Native American Studies Future Plans: Earning a Master’s degree and upon completion of my graduate studies, I plan on earning a seat on the National Council. The National Council would give me many opportunities to work along tribal members who have the same aspirations in build-ing the nation, helping out each of the communities in the Mus-cogee (Creek) Nation jurisdiction, and better the quality of life for the Muscogee people. A seat on the National Council would give me plenty of experience to increase my skillset and intelligence on tribal policies and learn more about resolutions to solve problems within the Nation. I truly want to help out my people and as many tribes as possible that I can after obtaining my Master’s degree.
