School pride is one of the most important parts of university. It’s why buses full of Carleton kids always chant that anti-Ottawa U cheer that I can’t mention here. It’s why we’re always so pumped when our basketball team wins the national championship (pumped but not surprised). It’s why our football team can get only a few touchdowns and we can still walk away feeling like we kicked ass. I know how it feels to hear that our school is winning international case competitions and it feels good. We go to a damn good school and we reserve the right to be proud of it.
