The pioneer spirit of the American West and utilitarian soldier themes add an

unexpected twist to California style. Outdoor exploration fuses with rugged army

influence and the wild, wild West, while classic military greens and lavish spice

accents lead the charge. Navigate the Golden Coast with high-style adaptations

of the officer’s parka, the denim Western shirt and nomadic patterns. A cowgirl

message adds in elements of earthly landscapes.

Academic accents and nerd chic nuances collide with ’90s

grunge for a reinvention of the schoolgirl. Quirky retro prints and

plaidsbring Ivy League style to California forging a brilliant concoction

of clash and mismatch. The academic spirit exemplifies school pride in

varsity-esque details. Voluminous urban wear items, from boxy bombers

to sporty pleats, are pieced together in a boy-meets-girl manner. The

schoolgirl’s uniform is transformed from traditional tartan to a dizzying

graphic escapade. Accents of heavy metal bring the Nirvana listener to

the halls of Stanford, where it’s hip to be square.

B O O K W O R M R E N E G A D EThe decadent air of Gothic glamour ushers in a new luxe spirit. The

opulence of the noir provocateur is illuminated by ornate, golden

baroque extravagance. Spending her days in dark lace and velvet, the

renaissance vixen makes wearable art out of classic silhouettes. The

nocturnal vamp wears head-to-toe leather in black and bitten berries.

Plush appliqués, encrusted jewels and gem baubles decorate the dark

beauty resurrecting a feeling of medieval romance. The tough girl goes

ultra-casual with elements of edg y glamour and a new variation on rock

aristocrat style.

Look for new delight in the demure. The summer garden transitions

to winter lavender, pearled gray and dusty mauve that enchant the

femme believer. Dreamy silhouettes come to life in unexpected

romanticism with a mix of androgynous looks reminiscent of both

menswear and womenswear. Girlish silhouettes with a modern take

accentuate a relaxed prim and proper tailored sensibility. It’s all

about taking the ordinary and adding a sprinkling of delicate lace and

blocking of color. Soft and boyish intertwine for an airy interlacing of

mystique and allure.
