Unionville Elementary Newsletter: March 2018 Edition The Arrow We recently received a generous donation from our local Benton Township Fire Department. They were looking for a way to invest in their community and our school is the fortunate recipient of the funds. We are honored to accept the donation and look forward to putting the money to good use, investing in school safety, improving our school grounds and purchasing resources to support our E.A.R.T.H. framework. We see this donation as further evidence of the communitys trust and respect for the work our school does to make Unionville, IN stronger. The Arrow

We recently received a generous donation from our local Benton Township Fire Department. They were looking for a way to invest in their community and our school is the fortunate recipient of the funds. We are honored to accept the donation and look forward to putting the money to good use, investing in school safety, improving our school grounds and purchasing resources to support our E.A.R.T.H. framework. We see this donation as further evidence of the community’s trust and respect for the work our school does to make Unionville, IN stronger. We are grateful for our partnership with Benton Township Fire Department and appreciate the role their investment will play in the future of our school.

ISTEP The first round of ISTEP is over. The second and final round for the year will begin on April 16th. Love, support, and confidence are not likely the words that come to mind when thinking about ISTEP, but these are the feelings we work to instill in our students. As a show of support and to make our students feel extra special, study buddies wrote encouraging notes, our teachers and staff brought in fruit (brain food), and we constructed a “tunnel of love” to kick each day off right.

Thank You, Barnes and Noble

This past holiday season, Barnes and Noble bookstore adopted us to be recipients of their holiday book drive. As a result, they donated hundreds of books to our school. The book titles are very high interest and will be great additions to our classroom libraries and book room.

Kroger Card $$$

Thank you so much for registering your Kroger Card with Unionville. We made a whopping $631.25 last quarter. Yay! 83 families are participating in the program. If you haven’t registered for this program, please consider doing so.

Staying Connected

We have experienced so much generosity this year through grants, donations, and the gift of time. Last week, we received some items in the mail and had some fabulous volunteers at school putting the first set of stationary bikes together. We are so grateful and excited!
